Unless we are 3 or more goals up with 15 minutes or so left. IMO Dajaune Brown should be left at Gateshead to support his long term development, so I wouldn't consider recalling him unless Waghorn gets injured and there's no-one returning from injury.

The Northampton game is an important one psychologically for us. Win and we’re 2 points behind Portsmouth and 7 in front of Bolton. This could pressurise both teams as 1 slip up from Portsmouth could leave them in second place, and a slip up from Bolton could finish off their promotion push.
Yes they’ll have a game in hand, but there are very few easy games left for Portsmouth and Bolton already have to rely on us dropping points and them gaining them.

While this is an interesting statistic, I think its important to look at who partnered him in midfield like @Ghost of Clough said.
I've always thought that we're at our best when only 1 of Hourihane or Bird are playing, not both. At least his transfer has sort of forced Warne's hand from next season.
Having had a look at CH this season, we have won 5; drawn 3; and only lost to Charlton when Hourihane hasn't played or only played a 20 minutes or so. So again we have a winning record when CH hasn't played (or played very little).

Would we be able to reduce the size of the away end? From my seat on Saturday it looked like the away end had been extended and closed off with stewards and police. If this was the case surely we could reduce the size if Blackpool don’t want their full allocation.

    At the game
1Wildsmith - 8.5 - looked very good with his hands, a few crucial saves, but did look a bit nervy with his feet at times
    35Nelson - 8 - just another solid game
    3Forsyth - 9 - quality performance
6Cashin - 9 - dominant in the air, good on the floor, covered Sibley well down the left
23Ward - 7 - thought he had a decent first half, looked good going forward
2Wilson - 8 - had the better of the Bolton left side after coming on and won the header for the goal
32Adams - 9 - was everywhere, another performance which made me hope we get him permanently in the summer
4Hourihane - 6.5 - slightly above average, but his legs seem to have gone now and lacks any pace. Really struggled against a more mobile midfield
16Thompson - 7.5 - the opposite to Hourihane physically, while he doesn’t seem to be a quick player in the nml or cbt style he was able to accelerate to get away from or close down opposition and his agility made it even harder for Bolton to win the ball off him.
17Sibley - 7 - I thought he was slightly above average, but ended up out of position a few times and was taken off just in time imo
20Elder - 6 - didn’t do too much to stand out after coming on, but more importantly he did nothing wrong
7Barkhuizen - 7 - made some decent runs and did pretty well without scoring or creating big chances
10Waghorn - 6.5 - like elder didn’t do nothing wrong and used his experience to finish the game off
25Gayle - 6.5 - looked like he was making some decent runs, but often lacked the service and was never going to win anything in the air against their CB
12Smith - 6.5 - another who didn’t do anything amazing, but importantly didn’t make any mistakes. I’m probably being a bit harsh with his rating
11Méndez-Laing - 8 - yet another good performance and was probably our biggest threat (minus Wilson) going forward

I don’t think this is a great idea, but something I’ve just thought of.
So Bradley has been playing well in defence and Forsyth was motm today, so could we fit both of them in.
Back 3 of Cashin, Nelson, Bradley. Try Forsyth out up front. He’s shown he can finish with his feet and he’s good in the air. Could he be a handy makeshift target man with his attributes. Imagine ward and sibley whipping balls in to him. We’ll also have that extra defender for set pieces. He was originally signed as a winger wasn’t he so playing further forward won’t be completely alien to him.

I think the problem he has had is that he may have not been fully fit physically when he signed, but now I wouldn't be surprised if he is lacking match fitness.

I can see him becoming a real asset for the club. He has a lot of attributes that would be really useful to have around the first team. However, I hope the club put his development first rather than putting him in and around the first team to cover any poor recruitment. Perhaps it would be good to have him on loan to a league 2 club to gradually expose him to better quality players. Having seen some national league games this season I have seen a lot of poor defending. Maybe a loan spell to a team like Chesterfield, who create lots of chances, in league 2 would be a good next step.
I also think it would be good to be giving Darren Robinson a spell out on loan to experience first team football, rather than playing in the u21s.
