Pretty meh game to be honest. They didn’t give us a kick at times, and despite no intense press we gave the ball away shoddily numerous times, particularly first half. 
Grateful of the win, we needed one - pre season or not. Let’s not pretend that bar two fantastic Roos saves and the width of crossbar that we couldn’t have been 3 goals down before we even had a sniff. 
Of the trialists, I think Morrison is a player who can receive under pressure and be trusted with the ball which is great to have. I do think he needs to be central though. Carroll is a steady player who will recycle the ball well, although did show some rustiness at times. Aluko will do a couple of terrible things for every good thing he does. Baldock is either way light of sharpness or he simply doesn’t have it anymore. Jagielka looks decent for his age, it must be said, but we certainly can’t count on 40+ games from him and Davies. 
We looked better once CKR came on as he offered far more than Baldock. Sibley still criminally underused by the sleepy fart sniffer. Watson looked very tidy and has a lovely centre of gravity to get out of tight spots, but don’t think he has that directness that Sibley has. Both very useful, we need to see more of both. They're also completely different players. What @Carl Sagansaid was right, but it's not really a case of Watson or Sibley for the same spot in the team.

Rooney has shown his colours and only given Louie Sibley 15 minutes at the end of our preseason matches so far. It's so depressing. The season starts on 7th August. Even Rooney must realize it's unlikely we'll be able to sign any of his army of triallists by then. We have to play our own players and start getting minutes into their legs. We also have to change our mentality so we actually look as if we want to score goals. We need to be much less supine as a team, instead taking games by the scruff of the neck.
Sadly I can't see it happening. From the Rams social media I'm guessing Louie Watson will start ahead of Sibbo. I like Watson but he's not the player to get other Championship teams worried. Sibley will get his 10 minute cameo at the end and be booked because he's even more frustrated about it than me, and then Leeds or Wolves will come in and offer us £500k to take him off our hands when he's clearly not part of Rooney's plans.

This is a hard answer, because everything that's going on at this club makes me ashamed, embarrassed, frustrated, angry and it does hurt. Without all this, I can imagine I would have been absolutely buzzing to go back and sing some songs, enjoy some live football again.

This is what football has become though. We are just seen as customers now.
The club doesn't care. The way they have treated the fans recently is nothing short of disgusting.
Mel Morris is constantly in the news, doing interviews when things are going well.
The second it all goes wrong, the second the supporters want answers they deserve, he's gone.
The fans deserve more and they deserve to be treated better.
