I don't agree with the Jozwiak criticism. What is he, or any winger we have meant to do in this system we're playing? No space to operate in, no supporting runs, no movement, no one to cross to. 

Or WR, everything you said above ... unable to see that in order to win games of football you need your most creative players on the pitch   - from the first whistle, not when you're already losing.

Bird/Knight/Sibley could have 30+ games under their belts this season as a midfield 3, well on their way to becoming the most exciting partnership in the league. Watson coming through.
In that parallel universe would we have done any worse than we've done this season?
Instead we've got Knight being played all over the pitch and out of form, Bird and Sibley rotting on the bench.
We should do the decent thing and sell all three of them cheap to a club that knows how to use them.

I hope Sibley can take it. It must be very tough for him playing out of position, seeing Watson get praise for being brought in to play centrally when this is Sibley's position but he's never selected to show what he can do there. Yet last season he showed us how good he was playing centrally. It's a very weird one on Rooney's part.

Indeed he’s also a kid in football terms.

None of the other players going forward are doing anything? Sibley coming on offers more than most of our attackers does, and yet is held to a standard the starters aren't. 

Disgraceful comments from Rooney. What good will this do? A side and player low in confidence calling him out publicly is pathetic. Especially when you consider our atrocious attacking play this season. This is a major alarm bell for me. Rooney’s handling of Whittaker with the sub was questionable but possibly understandable. This is plain stupid. He’s annoying me recently. Claiming Buchanen is England potential (ridiculous claim) and now this. Sort it out Rooney. 

Rooney has some nerve telling a player he has to do more - if it wasn’t for Bielik being in the side for a few games we’d be in the bottom three playing this managers negative poo football. 

Or maybe our young players aren't talented enough? 

Sibley scored a hat trick v Millwall 9 month ago. It was declared that he was the player money couldn’t buy. Mel had searched Europe for a manager that would be great for the young players. Rosenior was the telly pundit that was the expert that had the knowledge of the championship. I’m sorry to say the management team has not been good for our young players especially Sibley.

Its starting to change my opinion of Rooney on its own. Think how excited we were after that hat-trick ironically against Milwall. 

Wayne was absolutely correct. Sibley has not done anywhere enough for a long time. 19 isn't young in football. 

"Has to do more" yet has been the player closest to scoring for 4 games.
That's despite playing in only 25% of the available minutes.

Single handedly turn us around in 10-20 minute, usually out of position, or else you're in the firing line. Great.

Publicly criticising a 19 year old after coming on as a sub doesn't strike me as great man management

Yep, Rooney is being a right rick. He's regularly the most impactful sub (even when it's usually only 10 minutes he's given) and it's always, "he needs to do more." Meanwhile Waghorn, Jozwiak, Gregory etc. get much more chances than him and have been woeful for the majority of the time, yet seem to receive much less criticism than Sibley. 

Do we think that this “experience” will help young players like Sibley in the long run or will it hinder their progress? Sibley and Bird seem worse than they were a year ago. Buchanan and Knight seem to be about the same level. 

I honestly think Rooney has treated Sibley very very poorly. 

Good job he left Derby to aid his development, without doing that he wouldn't have this glorious opportunity to play for Derby.

Anyone remember when Mel said he'd only sell if he was certain the people coming in would do right by Derby County?
