This idea that no red should feature in a Derby kit is pathetic really. Forest have had as an away kit a white top and black shorts. It's not as if we're going to go with a full red and white ensemble.
Red and white was our home kit colours way before black and white, Steve Bloomer scored many of his goal in the old Red & White ! Come on you reds !

I reckon it might be a small detail on the shirt which is that colour rather than the full shirt
or maybe not the away shirt ?

Yes mate it was something puma did, calico means large cat or “puma” if I remember correctly, I think that the considered it instead of using puma wording

@loweman2 Why did the sponsor change mid-season and did Osca go bust? Hence no manufacturers mark?
Both sponsors were maxwell owned print companies so you can only imagine, sportsweek was a new sports magazine that came out though so it was obviously to advertise that, and yes osca went belly up and we must have got the shirts cheap, they must have been already in production.

A special signed worn shirt of the inspirational and top professional Curtis Davies.
What a season he has had in every way, easy player of the season, been a real leader to the younger lads, scored goals shown class, played in every match and a top lad who always has time for the fans !
A class act.

@loweman2do you know why Kevin never appears to go to these events? Is it because he’s shy or moved on in his life or has he fallen out with the club/players? I for one would love him to be there on Saturday.
I think it is a little bit of all of that, I think that he is shy and I think that he has moved on but in a good way, derby county will always be in his blood, I think that there are a couple of underlying issues but predominantly I just don’t think that it appeals to him anymore, he showed when I met up with him that he was happy to sit for a couple of hours on a one to one basis and talk with passion about his career and his love for the people of Derby, the same with Colin B, I would expect them both to be there on Saturday though, it was nice to see that Ron Webster made it,

Really was a great night, the players and all staff were mixing and loving it aswell, a good party atmosphere and nearly all of them made a commitment that if they were wanted they were available, would be unfair to comment on the ones who didn’t sound so sure. Mr Rooney was great as always ! And to see the legends assembled all bar two was humbling !

No Kevin or Colin B, the rest were there!

A lovely little addition to the collection from the promotion season of 1985/86 the Osca keepers shirt worn by Mark Wallington & Eric Steele, a real team of quality pros most of who went on to be champions and get promoted again the following season !
a great time to be following the team home and away, 1989s football was a bit special ! A proper near death experience and a come back to top them all.#savederbycounty #dcfcfans

Derby County Shirt Collection

John Gregory’s no 10 shirt from the division three promotion season, he was brought in by Arthur Cox to add some flair, he had been playing for England the year before and he dropped down from the third division to the first, he went on to become captain but he was the midfield maestro of the team, proper classy player !
