If you believe what Alan Nixon was saying this morning, and what I’ve long suspected anyway, the £20m for the stadium clears the MSD loan against it. We’re not just paying Mel the money for his own gain.

My understanding is that an agreement has been made with all of the creditors, however, this cannot be formalised without know if we'll be forced to pay the two chancers (resulting in less going to creditors)
The chain of events can only be: remove Boro/Wycombe from the table > announce PB > prove funding > takeover to go through > exit admin.
The proof of funding could come sooner in that sequence.

Honestly.... It´s like being in a playground to hear these statements, get a grip, this is a multi million pound industry and the EFL + Gobson are behaving like they are still in the Uni debate class.
The future of our football club is at stake you f*in numpties, behave accordingly.

I think so, the administrators are clear and calm, the EFL get weirder by the minute and Steve Gibson has lost his shizzle, he's even referred to himself in the 3rd person, bizarrely. Looks like it was written by a monkey wearing boxing gloves.

They’re certainly rattled, Boros statement won’t help their cause at all. He’s coming across as a petulant baby having a tantrum because he can’t get what he wants. It’s becoming patently obvious that the EFL are terrified of him and those with power and influence (MP’s, councils, journos) are all waking up to this.
The EFL are currently pooing themselves

    I give in.
They surely must know that they cannot disclose information that is being requested.  Also not sure why he is overly concerned about HMRC, if they are successful in their claim to be a football creditor, and we liquidate, it's HMRC and the public who will suffer whilst he continues to stuff his pockets

This entire situation is ludicrous. The punishment has been handed out. Derby County cannot be blamed for a massive losing streak

One point I haven’t seen made yet is how the performance this season undermines Boro’s argument that bigger budget = better performance in the league.
Add 21pts back and we’re currently sitting above Sheffield Utd who have parachute payments supporting a premier league wage bill not a threadbare squad packed with freebies and academy products.

It’s like they’ve opened the regulations, searched for the word compensation, and run with it.
Unless there’s another rule 92.2.5 somewhere and I quoted the wrong one? But I found that one and it seemed to fit what with mentioning paying compensation.

To be fair, I think 50% of the people going on about us cheating and getting what we deserve, still think this is to do with the ground sale.
Shows how well the EFL have done at keeping this whole thing on the sly.
Think I must have asked about 20 people on Facebook today to explain how we have been found guilty of cheating, not had one even sightly plausible reply yet.

Surely our creditors are seething seeing this all playout. There is a deal in place, they will get what they need, but if this farce continues to go on, they surely aren't anymore. Middlesbrough killing the club at this point just comes across as vindictive, particularly as the claim appears to have limited actual legal basis.
The EFL using Derby as a shield to protect themselves is also abhorrent. Again, I don't see how the EFL can continue in its current form after this. They are clearly not fit for purpose, such a body is there to manage and protect the clubs, not use the clubs as a shield to protect from their own incompetence.

Just listened to Ed Dawes on Radio Derby and the future is looking bleak indeed. Meeting between Toby Perkins and the administrators. Toby says that the EFL have put Derby in the firing line to avoid themselves being put in the firing line as they were going to be sued by Gibson if they didn't take action against Derby. Feel very sad and pessimistic now about anyone buying us. Toby is very concerned indeed about our future. Worrying news that the legal costs of the parasites couldn't possibly be covered by the sale of players. So many facts that I feel too sad and confused to list them all. But I'm sure you'll all be able to find the details soon. Sorry. I'm usually quite optimistic but this has thrown me into panic mode. Listen in to sports scene at 6pm. As someone just said on RD, How can this be fair and just?
Any positive comments will help at the moment.
    Hugs to all. X

Another interpretation of that thread suggests the Admins are preparing the ground to take the claims out of the equation with a Cross Class Cram Down action. To get one, a court has to believe that no party to the action is worse off than any other possible outcome - and it looks like the Admins are clearly illustrating that the alternative is liquidation and virtually nothing for all creditors.
A CCCD that offers to pay 100% to all current football debts and secured creditors; 25% to to other recognised creditors and strikes out the claims as non creditors would allow the Club to have a clear path forward and would fit into current EFL insolvency exit rules.
If the EFL attempted to block the transfer over the golden share to the new owners over the treatment of the MFC and WWFC claims they would be in breach of their own Articles and be in the firing line for a legal challenge.

Great that he mentions Bury too, If we can get ourselves out of this mess and on an even keel then I really hope that we can arrange some sort of friendly to help them in some small way to get back on their feet.
To quote Jack "I don't want to jump the gun here, but I think once all this is settled and whatever situation we find ourselves in, we do have a duty to turn our focus to resurrecting Bury as a football club."

I think you can just stop there.
I remember the sucker punch of the 2014 playoff final. It hurt not just because of what happened in the 90 minutes, or Keogh's mistake, or Zamora's finish, but because we were a sensibly-run club living within our means against a team of over-paid and over-priced players clearly there to pick up a pay packet. It really, truly felt like the 'wrong' team won, and QPR were effectively rewarded for cheating.
At no point did I ever want QPR to be liquidated, threatened with expulsion, or relegated to the third tier. My gripe was never with QPR fans, and for the crimes of Tony Fernandes, I wouldn't want a community to lose its club, Loftus Road to become derelict, or see 140 years of history turn to dust just because of the immorality of a handful of board members who happened to be at the club at the time.
It's not worth engaging with any Boro or Wycombe fan who cannot see that; those that want the scene of the crime punished rather than the criminals themselves aren't true football fans. They are prepared for an entire community to suffer as the fall guys and girls just to make themselves feel better about their own club's shortcomings. There is nothing you can do or say to change their mind, it's already made up.

They finished 5th, one place and one point above us with the same goal difference.
Wolves: +23 points +21 goal difference
Cardiff: +14 points +8 goal difference
Fulham: +12 points +11 goal difference
Villa: +7 points +8 goal difference
    all finished above them.

If he’s claiming that they had ‘more resource’ going into that season than any other club, how did they finish 5th, so far behind the top 4?
Would that be because it’s not all about how much ‘resource’ you have?
If so, how can they so confidently state:
    https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/club-statement-Derby-county
about the following season? They have no idea how an alternative season would have played out, we could have spent far less and performed far better, it’s complete conjecture.

For someone supposed to possess a lot of integrity, Steve Gibson can sound like a right Mel Morris (The Derby way). A lot of bold statements there rather than quiet confidence.
A good point about how you manage your resources. Brentford the best recent example of a side maximizing things. Middlesbrough clearly failed to do so as you suggest.

I think he might be referring to the Q&A style statements from both the EFL and Boro. Where they weren’t actually questions asked of them, they ridiculously asked themselves the questions and then answered them.

Don’t know if anyone has shared this, but it looks like Nixon has read the room and sees the EFL and Boro positions as ridiculous. Hopefully that will see us getting some more sympathetic coverage in the nationals.
