I’ve not really got a problem with players not wanting to stay after relegation, it’s still sad and it’s incredibly frustrating that it’s come to that, but it’s fair enough, if we get a decent enough fee for them.

Everyone is responsible for their own decisions though, yes it started because of one man, although there are plenty of other parties that made the situation so much worse than it needed to be!
But this, if true, no, this is on them and them alone, it’s not something they need to do.

Quantuma should never have been put in the situation of accepting or rejecting the points deduction by the EFL. The punishment, if infact there was a case for any points deduction, should have been held in abeyance until the new owner took control of the club.
To keep other club's owners happy, the EFL saw the opportunity to impose the punishment, knowing there would by nobody at the club to raise any against it.
What the EFL did was underhanded and downright despicable. And highlights that those in charge of running it are not fit to do the job.

This really is a great point Mostyn, even if they can tear up their employment contract, DCFC will still own the official player registrations.

If it’s not bad enough losing Lawrence for free , these two are playing the system and will get a nice signing on fee or higher wages. Next thing - they will be asking about their loyalty bonuses.

Looking to get a transfer to another club is one thing. At least the club would get some needed money. But to try to legally have your contract cancelled is disappointing. Wish they had the same level of commitment that Rooney and many others have shown. If they fail in their legal action and remain with us I would be supprsied to see them on the team sheet again.
