About the lack of apology from Mel in his interview. 
 
I think people need to remember or know is that the conduct of the directors could be investigated once in administration. I would have thought Mel could have been advised to be careful how he words his apology. Hence, I’m sorry about the outcome but not for how the club got there in the first instance. 
I’m not defending Mel, you simply look at where we were on and off the pitch when he took over and where we are today. It’s unforgivable. 
Warren Buffet once said something along the lines of ‘once the tide goes out you see whose swimming naked.’ 
Covid may well have broke the camels back but the camel was on his last legs already, there’s one person to blame for that. 
However one thing that resonates with me that has also come out of this is the poison chalice that is the Premier League and it’s vast riches. Unless something is done to distribute the wealth in football more clubs will go to the wall in the pursuit of this holy grail.
For many owners of clubs in the championship without parachute payments is the stark choice, throw everything at going up and risk financial ruin or run your club sensibly with little or no chance of achieving promotion, and simply die slowly.

Ha, I'm sure thats a sarcastic post. That argument though if anyone makes it is irrelevant. Fans will always demand spending and new signings but actually the fans don't know the state of finances, plus it is not the fans' responsibility to make sure the club is properly run. Some people were questioning high transfer fees spent on players and a lot more would have questioned these kinds of situations if they had known exactly the wages involved and the financial climate of the club. The custodians of the club have a duty to make sure the club is secure short and long term. Morris and Pearce have let the fans down. I also think the EFL need to be under more scrutiny. While it is great a variety of clubs are represented, there needs to be some independence as some of their behaviour seems wrong and vindictive.

The Wagging-the-Finger Derby fans with their "well, you asked for it!" dribble have got to be the worst of the worst. 
Yes, Karen. When I wanted us to sign Tom Ince from Hull I was in fact asking for administration and ruin. Nice one.

That's like saying I went to my company owner for a payrise and 6 months down the line the company folds....then the owner says well everyone else asked for a pay rise too and I gave it to them, couldn't afford it but thought it was the best thing, sorry about your job. 

I'm not gettng this narrative set by a few on here that those daring to criticise Mel now were the same ones demanding signings and overspending. 
Massive, sweeping generalisation that comes across as a weak excuse for Mel's actions.

But how many of his detractors now were the ones saying “Uncle Mel” .. “pay what it costs” .. “yeaaarrr we got our man” .. “genius attracting Lampard” .. “Wayne ducking Rooney” etc etc etc 
He has effed up big time. His legacy is failure, reckless foolishness, lousy decision making, misplaced trust and dire, desperate uncertainty. No equivocation.
but he wasn't and isn’t the 3 amigos and there are a lot of folk spitting bile on here that need to look at their own changing views over his tenure.
