33' woodwork
58' inches away from free header tap in
66' Ebu last ditch a yard wide with Wildsmith wrong footed
93' Sitter inches over
(just the clear-cut ones, they also had lesser moments 6' 7' 56' 68' 93' and 96', twice as many as ours but which you can ignore)Now waiting for our count expecting it to reach double figures.
What's even more bizarre than you constructing a timeline of our oppositions "chances" is that someone else on the forum has actually applauded your efforts.

Should start a poll asking which forum members will be unable to resist the temptation of starting another thread and for how long.
My vote would be next time we fail to win a game.

"The wage bill is now running at about 45% of our revenues and I believe we've put a squad together that is there to compete with other clubs in this division and we'll continue to progress that moving forwards - but in a sustainable manner."
Bit different to the quote Clowes made about our wage bill.

Yes the NDA’s are in place but there are certain things he can surely talk about.
I'm not really interested in what he had for tea last night or his favourite Backstreet Boy

The cost and wages of a player don't determine how good they are as a footballer. If that were true, Phil Jagielka was absolutely terrible for us because he cost £0 and only had £4000 wages.
It's dead easy to throw out exceptions to the rule but these are exceptions....Slabhead, Lingaard, Pogba etc rather than proving the rule.

The fact we haven't yet unleashed CBT is surely a negative? Only a moron wouldn't have unleashed him yesterday.
We need to unleash Keith Lard

When was the last time all three relegated Championship teams weren't challenging for promotion the following season?
Was that a rhetorical question or you're going to share the answer with us

The women are no better.
Why do Nottingham Forests women's football team play their home matches in Derbyshire?

I'm with @ramtique on this. It's simply not as enjoyable as it has been. It's not as entertaining as it could be. Jipes, it could even be argued it's not as entertaining as it SHOULD be (But that's a separate discussion).
Like @ramtique, I too suspect there are others (20k+, quite likely, but I appreciate I could be open to argument there!)I'm not threatening to down STs and stay away (Although it does occasionally cross my mind!). I'm certainly not affected enough to be concerned about my day to day mental well being.
I don't enjoy seaside do-nuts as much as I did 40 years ago, but they're still bloody tempting when you're within touching distance of the seaside.
Same with Kylie in gold hotpants. It just doesn't have that same effect any more... but I ain't gonna click away if it unintentionally pops up on my YouTube suggestions! 👀Hey, @Tyler Durden, why not not try to focus on what folk are actually posting, rather than exaggerating their words and opinions to a polar extreme? Just a thought.

I'm just trying to find out if you are enjoying the matches? If you would rather not say that's fine. I have no hidden agenda.
As progression I remember a number of posters on here calling us flat track bullies last season as we would roll over weaker teams at home but lose against better ones.
This season that accusation has died off probably due to the fact that we are beating the better teams both home and away and in fact our away record is very, very good which again demonstrates some enhanced mental fortitude within the team but definitely not luck.
We won nothing under McClaren but played the best football I can remember. We're in League 1 so if the football is pragmatic at times then so be it. Am sure the same detractors would complain if we were playing free flowing football but were midtable. That's life.

So are you enjoying the matches this season generally or do you view the ends as always justifying the means?
The kiss of death for any football manager is poor performances AND poor results.
Even the most narrow minded supporter of the club has to begrudgingly admit that second in the table is a good position to be in.
If we were hovering around midtable then my stance might be different however as we're not then it's a moot point.

Hi Tyler, what's your mindset to this season? I'm generally an upbeat kind of guy but I'm struggling with what I'm seeing on the pitch. How do you see it?
I see we're second in the table. I know this as I've just been on the BBC Sports website to make sure of this so it's a fact rather than opinion.
I don't believe (which IS my opinion) that we've got to this point by fluking a whole run of results so this is something that Warne is doing right.
It also is heartening that we can still be hyper critical of yesterday's substitutions etc when we still are second in the league.

When you have a season ticket you keep going but many times this season after leaving by 11 and getting back at 8 even when winning it has felt like a slog. After the effort and expense involved think fans can discuss the negatives as much as they like as long as they are not vicious to staff or players personally.
Are you really saying you get back from a game and feel uplifted focussing just on the positives? Yesterday was an opportunity missed against a poor side with 2 henchmen at the back who should have been torn apart. If we get promoted we will scrape it
Yer I made the mistake of trying to ask a larger question which was what is the point of doing something if you don't enjoy it, which as I alluded to really sits on the Depression etc thread on another forum.
I'll try and stick to discussing football matters in the future as it's far more simplistic 🙂

The "answer" to this will lie entirely with the mindset of the poster.
As the previous poster has just admirably illustrated.

It's been removed after the realisation that we'll not be playing Brentford anytime soon

Never said I was ‘upset’.. just not enjoying my Saturdays as much as I’d like and have previously.
This should really be on another forum but if someone isn't deriving any enjoyment from participating in an activity then there is a solution before it affects your mental wellbeing.
Imagine going to watch Derby as a way of escaping the 9 to 5 grind and it's actually bringing you down more which defeats the purpose.
Why not try to focus on the positives - we're second in the league.

Derby are a dreadful watch but we will get promoted under Warne.
Then we will stink out the Championship, and replace Warne with Darren Moore.
Then we will be back in League One, wishing we had Paul Warne back in charge.
Do you have two accounts on here and your other one is Negative Creep by any chance

Spot on pal. I’ve been watching us for 50 years and have seen some dreadful sides in that time, but I have rarely been so bored at games. Yes I’m grateful we still have a club and all that. I don’t particularly expect to get promoted from where we have been the last 12/18 months. But I DO like to enjoy my Saturday afternoons which I’m not watching Warneball. The football is negative and totally uninspiring. We have the players - despite obvious deficiencies up front - to play better but are constrained by the limited and under ambitious approach of our management. Yes we are second etc etc but I’m not enjoying this and I’m sure I’m not alone. Cue the happy clappers telling me to stay at home….
If it's upsetting you that much then yes you've already proposed the solution.
