A good point.
Everyone from players to fans looked like the week that was had caught up with them. Be glad of a break.

You do realise that these things aren't just a physical thing don't you?

So putting them all together, I think we're onto something:
He's Polish
He's Polish
He's Polish
And he likes his sausage
Kielbasa
And tortilla.
He washes it down with jager
Jurajska
And Tyskie
And he's still happy to be a member of an all-embracing eco-political organisation covering 27 otherwise autonomous nations in Europe who can still actually find a bloody aubergine on the supermarket shelves when they want one.
Whoah whoah etc etc

I'd rather look at it another way. Home crowds are increasing game by game. Against Huddersfield there were about 12/13,000 home fans. Now we're up to 18,000. If you discount to zero or count the same number of away fans for the Stoke/Reading games, there was actually a bigger home support for Weds night v Reading than there was a Sat v Stoke, which is remarkable.
On the second point, absolutely. It's much, much better with a smaller crowd of supporting fans than with a larger one which contains thousands of whingers. I'm loving this season so far.

Well done @sage on this. If we get a crowd of 20k for a midweek game against Reading I think that's a really positive turnout. They barely bring any on a matchday in normal times, so a midweek, fuel shortage etc, I imagine numbers will be similar to pre-season Real Betis fans!
As an awareness raising campaign and something positive, I think it's been a great idea. I've not listened to/seen any local media so don't know if it's been picked up by them.
There was no way on earth you'd ever fill PPS for this fixture, even if the club was giving tickets away. If we got 20k for Stoke on a Saturday, local game and they sold out their end, and we equal or better that tonight, that's a great effort by Derby fans.

I've been on Radio Derby plugging it, it's been mentioned on Twitter by Kieran Lee and the Punjabi Rams (that isn't a new band) with the latter declaring it their aim. The administrators have asked for an extra 5k in match tickets to be sold to help with costs and get a buyer. They have increased the ticket office hours after representation.

Everyone seems to pick out the Birmingham game, but I didn't think we really looked under pressure except when we made our two errors. Same to a certain extent for the Peterboro game when we had a real bad wobble.
If only we could score with a bit more ease...

I'm surprised we haven't appealed the Roos sending off, but maybe we couldn't afford it? In which case I suggest we're looking at:
Allsop
Byrne Jagielka Davies Buchanan
Bird Shinnie
Knight Morrison Jozwiak
Lawrence
Subs: Stearman Forsyth Ebosele Sibley Watson Baldock Stretton
I don't think we'll have Foulkes on the bench as we can't afford to create a new "player of professional standing". The EFL should be ashamed. What a farce this is, deliberately preventing young footballers coming through. In an emergency Jags will go in goal. I'm not certain Sibbo has done enough to keep his place, love him though I do, though it could be Rooney sacrifices Joz instead if we go with this type of team. And I hate seeing Knight out wide, but I figure there'll be a lot of rotation in that front four which might end up being quite a lot of 4-3-3 with Knight in the midfield 3. I think we're better off without Baldock starting - if we are going with a traditional centre forward I'd prefer to see Stretton.

Nope, quite the opposite. What I'd actually prefer is stricter prohibition, harsher sentences and for Governments to take the issue more seriously.

Well preventing people who had drugs on them/clearly off their heads from drugs or alcohol from entering the stadium would be a start and might make them think twice.
I'm not overly pious about all this and have been travelling away too many years to worry having seen the worst of what away days can bring. As someone said, a few unnecessary chants are better than the constant threat of a glass in the face or being stabbed. Or being subjected to a hailstorm of milk bottles as we once were at Gillingham; one of the more novel away fan attack strategies. And thankfully they seem to have stopped throwing piss all over you at the City Ground.
However, I'm vehemently anti-drugs and simply do not accept that class A drugs such as coke or heroin should be legalised or even that somehow they're less dangerous than smoking or drinking. The amount of tobacco/alcohol you need to consume for it to become a major health risk - is anyone really saying that taking the proportionally same amount of coke or heroin would also not pose significant danger? Police I know have to spend most of their time dealing with drug-related crime, not alcohol or tobacco-related crime.
Thankfully now we've stopped indoor smoking, the only people smokers can harm is themselves, so crack on. Personal choice. It's not personal choice when someone off their head on something or other punches or stabs you, which seems to happen on a regular basis in town.
