Wow. That’s a massive bombshell you’ve just dropped on the forum.

I’d even suggest it’s a tad destabilising for such a revelation to be leaked via such a public forum as this and either your contact shouldn’t have told you or should have sworn you to secrecy.

Or it's just completely made up.

As I said before, if you do logical things and don’t get logical outcomes, people are more forgiving.

But picking Ward when he hasn’t had a look in for weeks and has been playing with the under 21s makes no sense to me.

Picking Barkhuizen who has 1 good game for every 6-7 forgettable ones over your marquee January signing who will only adapt with game time makes no sense to me.

Picking Bradley when it disrupts our strongest partnership of Nelson and Cashin again makes no sense to me.

Let’s hope we blow Port Vale away and win 3-0 because if not the pressure will crank up on Warne over his team selections because this one looks very muddled.

In response to why pick Ward - What has Wilson done to justify keeping his place?  Nothing.

Would anyone on here pick Bradley in the starting 11 for this game? Anyone?

Id go 4 at the back and think Nelson and Cashin are our best pairing.  Irritates me the way Bradley has been scape-goated as a stick to beat Warne with though.  He hasn't done much wrong since he's got into the team. He's not in the side for our in possession play and that's what has been costing us.

He can play wing back agreed…not a full back though…

He's played full back for posh in the championship.  Ward will make mistakes like other league one defenders do.  He's nowhere near as bad as people have made out.

It's based on what has been served up all season, not a knee jerk reaction. I'm finding this constant defending of what is poor football, poor tactics, poor recruitment, poor game management quite tiresome to be honest. It's like some people are being positive for positives sake. I'm guessing these people don't attend the games or don't even watch them? They just look at the league table and think 'ooo that looks nice'.

I'm there every home game (never boo and never will), but I see what is being served up and it is tripe.

Even his bobble hat is crap now.

Think you just have to accept some people like kick and rush football.  Same ones that defend Warne are the ones that droned on about sideways passing under Rosenior and Cocu.

  6. People have always used the away record as a stick to beat Liam with.  We only played four away games in the league and had barely had a pre-season.  It's too small a sample size to judge.

We absolutely battered Charlton and lost 1 nil.  Battered Fleetwood and couldn't put the ball in the net.  Admittedly we were poor against Shrewsbury and Lincoln but by God we've had worse performances under Warne and far more often as well.

I liked Liam, so positive and wanted us to play batter football but “entertained ?” No way. It was pedestrian sidey backwards over coached caution .. now maybe that was about player ability and not Liams fault ? but the same conclusions with a different style can be applied to Warne. There have been in equal measure some entertaining performances but some flipping dire ones …. like most of last night…... We are so inconsistent it’s painful. Yet on the day I know these lads have it, but we just don’t see it often enough. Is it age or coaching or just flawed old champ players and others who are well … just L1 ?

I enjoyed all of the games under Rosenior.  It was a million times more entertaining than the dross Warne has served up here.

Also we had about 26 shots away at Fleetwood and couldn't put the ball in the net.  Cautious??? Don't think so.

Results starting to catch up with the performances now, another limp display devoid of any plan it would seem.

Absolutely right.  Thought we were a bit better first half but these results have been coming for a while now as we have barely created anything from open play for weeks and it was inevitable that we couldn't keep winning games of fine margins.  NML has been over-used for the 2nd season running and if he doesn't do it we look completely devoid of ideas.

Wilson has no end product and if Ward can't even make the bench tonight I don't know why we bought him.

My teenager qualified last year, it's incredibly straight forward to do it. It's about £150 and a weekly evening session for about 2 months. They did everything possible to make you pass, there's no exams, you basically just have to attend the evening sessions then they "watch" the first 5 games.

Usually for youngsters refereeing junior football, it'll be the league organiser just walking around the many pitches they have going on at once. A quick glance over at your pitch to see if all is fine and that's it really.

Surely they have to answer a questionnaire to make sure they hate Derby?

Had to do a RoyMac and ignore the majority of your post and focus on one minutiae.....

Not sure on the assertion in bold, I certainly didn't expect us to get promoted the first season Warne was in charge so that kind of makes what you've said invalid (depends what your interpretation of "quick" is I guess)

Did Clowes also say the same thing?

Warne actually said in one of the pre-season interviews that if we don't get promoted he expects to be out of a job.  You would think he would have an idea of what the expectations were.

Thought warne hit the nail on the head with his post match comments. Gave away possession far too much and their pressing was very effective.

We were well in the game and individual errors, switching off at set pieces cost us. There was hardly anything in the game, draw would have been a fair reflection of the game but fair play to Barnsley they got over the line. Too many players off it for us, some not helped by having to be played out of position (Mendez-Laing). Bird off it, Wilson really poor until he came alive last 20 mins when freed of his defensive duties, Adams is a brilliant destroyer in midfield but poor with the ball. Not having a striker has hurt us in these two games, seen enough of Gayle to think he’ll get goals, if Mendez clips that ball into Gayle coming in from the left instead of shooting Gayle scores, Mendez cut in at the end instead of using Wilson on overlap, poor decision.

Two very winnable home games now, time for us fans to play our part again like we did against Stevenage.

Still think we can get this done and over the line and enjoy a proper rebuild in the summer free of restrictions.

He's finally noticed has he?  Taken him long enough.

We were, so we're they. It was a third tier game, must admit don't get best view from behind goal, but thought a draw would have been fair.

Fair enough on criticism, but have you posted any positive comments towards PW for the recent form we been on ?

Warne has made us a difficult team to beat but we are pretty woeful on the ball given the players at his disposal.  How many chances do we create from open play?  We've been bang average in possession for weeks now so I don't think there is a lot of credit to give to Warne for our attacking output.
