Leeds Ram got a reaction from Ellafella in Identical Seasons
I get what you're saying. I am maybe still a bit scarred from the mauling we took at their place. Playoffs are a lottery, and if we win against Portsmouth, sneak a draw against Wednesday then we'll have hit a nice patch of form before the semi-final legs.

I fancy us to beat Plymouth tbh. They only just got past us at their place when we were in the doldrums of our poor form and look shaky at the back. I could see us in a 3-4-3 beating them at home and the pressure gets to them at their place. I don't fancy us against Barnsley though. If we play them we won't progress any further.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from ziggyram59 in Wrexham is there success way over the top in the media?
It's way over the top, considering the money spent on the team. In reality, they've got a league 1 team albeit one that would likely struggle at this level. You've got to question just how deep their pockets are and how long they'll be able to subsidise that level of investment. If i was a conference team I'd be furious with what Wrexham have done tbh.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Should Max Bird sue?
It was a very odd interpretation of the play from my perspective. It's not like bird has used his body to 'force' the contact, as you sometimes see. The ball in the box was loose after a poor touch, their player has tried to make up for it, and he's made contact with Bird. It's a penalty as clear as day.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from Mucker1884 in Should Max Bird sue?
I may have been slightly overstating it... but I was directly in front of it, on the 4th row of the south stand, so probably 5-8 yards away from the by-line and 21-24 yards away from the incident.

I liked how their manager said it was never a penalty despite the fact he's half a pitch away. I was at that end and about 15 yards from the incident, and it's a penalty all day long. It's a stupid challenge as the ball got away, bird nicked in and their player made contact. The radio derby commentator who called it a 'modern penalty' as Bird stepped across him sounds like an idiot tbh.

Now you know that won’t be good enough for B4. Where’s your commitment?
I’m sure if you left straight after the game you’d at least get there in time for the interval.😀

Today we were excellent bar the opening 15 minutes. The 3-4-3 is the formation we've got to go for from now on. It allows us to use a number of players properly and give McGoldrick the ability to float around a bit more given the alternative options up front. Cashin as the wide centre back needs some work but it's in progress and Davies as the old head and bit of class works nicely. The midfield balance with either Hourihane or Bird dropping deep to receive the ball allows for a proper outlet through the middle with Sibbo or Mcgoldrick dropping at the opposite end to allow a connection through the middle. We still need a bit of work on the patterns of play (although promising signs are emerging on that front today) and our shape in transition needs some help but all in all it was excellent.
Burton were surprisingly disappointing. They've gotten some great results in the past 10 games and are pretty much safe now so could have gone for it. Their lack of quality really showed in the midfield and top end of the pitch. They seemed to rely on second balls and deep crosses in the box for anything of note. After the opening we looked in complete control and Burton seemed all too happy to let us have it.

What a difference a week makes!
Massive credit has to go to Warne, his coaches, and the players for finding the character and the nerve to bounce back and earn two big wins.
There have been times in recent games - the equaliser v MK Dons, the stoppage time penalty v Bristol Rovers, Bolton and Peterborough leading at HT in midweek, and Burton holding firm at HT today - that might have broken other teams’ spirit.
But not us.
The agonising thing is that the work is not over. We still have two big games and two big performances required. We might need four points.
We have to expect Peterborough will fight us all the way. But honestly I think that’s for the best - we want to be going into the play-offs in winning form, with momentum, and ready to dig deep.
It’s going to be a fun few weeks!

Leeds Ram got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Burton Albion (H) Sat 22nd April
Playing Burton in a competitive fixture is a bit of an odd one. It's a bit like the much older and bigger brother taking their step-sibling out for their first drinks on the town really. I've got no animosity towards Burton, but this fixture has a disconcerting feeling, given that we always used to play them in a friendly at their place. A bit like Leicester, they'll be really up for it from a rivalry perspective, whereas we won't be. But this time, we do have the motivation of a play off push, so we should, as a crowd, make this seem like a local derby even though it really isn't.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from Caerphilly Ram in Exeter City (A) Tues 18th April
The first half was shocking. Little threat going forward, looked vulnerable at the back and appeared to have 0 interest in winning the game. The second half was much better. We played more intensely and looked dangerous, with the occasional passing move accompanying our wing play. The midfield generally looked better and were less sloppy with more forward passes. We made it difficult for ourselves as we switched off right after the second goal but we really needed that win tonight. It keeps us in the hunt for the play off positions at least.
