MaltRam reacted to duncanjwitham in Shaun Barker says last night was
We've definitely done that at times this season, but last night it looked just like a regulation flat back 4 to me.

Liverpool away next? 3 top half sides after? Bottom 3 by Christmas?

MaltRam reacted to Matchday Fred in Derby v Shrewsbury (A) Match Thread
Aye but the only thing that is relevant is what that high value squad (whatever that means) does on the pitch today. Last year is not relevant. Too many are way overrated, Cashin included. Too short, too heavy, too slow, cannot pass a ball.

MaltRam reacted to CongletonRam in Will Clowes patience soon run out?
How quickly things can turn.
The new owner saves Derby County and only one year later is called 'a fool'.
With supposed fans like you, who needs enemies.

MaltRam reacted to I am Ram in Derby v Shrewsbury (A) Match Thread
Disappointed in the manager, disappointed in the coaches, disappointed in the players, disappointed not many of the managers signings are contributing enough, disappointed that fans and players argue, disappointed Blackpool wasn't the turning point, in terms of performances', disappointed in how i let the football effect my weekend, disappointed i feel i need to write this.

MaltRam got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Derby v Shrewsbury (A) Match Thread
We missed chances, the ref had a shocker, but we got utterly outplayed and over-run first half. Second half they had the better chances and dealt with whatever we had to offer despite the territorial advantage.
Not remotely good enough.
Two weeks to up the standards as per the stated requirement from the manager, and we get that let down.
I don't see where we go from here.

MaltRam reacted to chezzyram in Flooding
It's been reallybad here in Chesterfield today with almost every road across the town under water, closed or impassable. There are plenty of photos/videos online showing the scale of it. My 87 year old mum rang me from Clay Cross at 9am in a panic to tell me water was coming into her garden, by the time I got there 25 mins later the road was under water and waist deep in her house with her trapped upstairs. I managed to get her out with the help of a neighbour and it took me 4 hours to get her to my house in chesterfield. I'm not looking forward to what I'm going to find tomorrow when I can get back there!

MaltRam got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Why are we so grumpy
Personally, my grumpiness is mainly due to haemorrhoids. I still say that, much like the Anusol, we're going up.

MaltRam got a reaction from Mick Brolly in Palestine
Both of them. Incessantly.
Hamas let slip the dogs of war, and they only want escalation. They can't wipe out Israel on their own, they need a broader regional conflict. They'll be chuffed.
No point anyone clutching their pearls about it.
If I was Hamas, I'd hide in schools and hospitals and lie about it. If I was Israel, I'd bomb them and lie about it.
If I was Iran, or Hamas, or Islamic Jihad, I'd bomb a hospital to enrage the Arab world against Israel.
Or maybe a mistake happened...but mistakes will always happen in war.
We might never find out for sure, we will all have our opinions, but it's war. People dying is the whole point.
All this Geneva convention business has only ever applied in exceptional and narrow circumstances. Did we care in Dresden?
You can dance on the head of a pin about where moral responsibility lies, but what always happens is that people who just want to live their lives end up in pieces.

MaltRam got a reaction from hintonsboots in Why are we so grumpy
Daughter met a Brazilian bloke the other day. Las Palmeiras fan. Asked who my daughter supports, and she said Derby.
Oh yes, he replied..they hate Nottingham Forest. Nothing about 11 points.
