I have to question the Cooper love-in though. Absolutely fluked promotion with some awful officiating, and a lot of luck against a poor set of play off opponents.

Nothing useful to add; the late wife and I toyed with the idea, but then she fell ill and that was that.
I do have to say thank you for doing it though.  People like you and the missus putting others first, especially vulnerable youngsters, is inspirational.

Hello all. This thread has gone nearly a year since a post, which surprises me given how open we have been over the years.  Personally, I've been in a good place,  in a relationship for 14 months now,  got a dog at home,  just got a promotion at work, and building good relationships with family I only discovered in September 2022. All that said,  I've just lost a friend to cancer, got another friend going through recovery after cancer treatment and I'm definitely feeling sadness and woe that the gods saw fit to take B4 away from us. 
This time of year is usually very lonely for me as I usually try and stay out of the way so as not to intrude or burden people.  This year will be different as I'm going to Becky's mum's for Christmas and will be with her family. 
This isn't one to gloat, more one to remind people that the world moves on and situations change. Nothing is permanent,  especially sadness. 
Hope you all have as wonderful a Christmas period as is possible, and if it isn't, that doesn't mean it won't be again x

It's not the end of the world.
We shouldn't over react.
There was always the chance of rum performance somewhere down the line.
But on the other hand I <redacted due to concerns over poor taste> and their chairman and <redacted due to concerns over poor taste> with <redacted> if not <redacted> until nothing reamains but dust.

Turned out it was an early flight after all... already been there, dropped him off, back in time for a Greggs brunch, and now just chillin' and killin' 4 hours of yer English time, before heading off for my stroll to PPS this avvy.

Oh, yes - Britain's first Trappist beer.
In my opinion, the original Tynt Meadow (the 7.4% dark beer pictured) is one of the finest beers brewed in England. I've been a huge fan ever since they started brewing at Mount St Bernard Abbey. The Memsahib and I pop up there 2 or 3 times a year to pick a couple of boxes up. It is a most tranquil place.
Be sure to get the glass too.
The bottom of the label is a depiction of the horizon featuring the abbey.
