It's more a question of "do you want to set a precedent?"
Can any club feel smugly secure in the current climate? There's quite a few reliant on someone buying their star player(s) every season in order to fall within FFP guidelines, many reliant on "soft"loans from individual owners, some owned by Chinese businessmen subject to the whims of their Government.
Biters occasionally get bit. 
I don't expect any of them to do anything but put the boot in, but I don't blame the supporters groups for asking the question.

I think if it was the difference between us surviving or not, very very few season ticket holders would expect/demand refunds for any matches played behind closed doors. I know I wouldn't.
