We don't need the EFL to invoke a 12 point deduction ,we are quite capable of doing that ourselves 6 matches into the season

Where did I say being founder members of the League gave us a special license? Never mentioned it
And you brought up the point about Leicester being the bigger city as if that was a relevant criteria to their success. It isnt as they are in a similiar bracket to us. That was the point I was making re Leeds, Birmingham etc.
Don't disagree theres a huge amount of work to be done with this club though. Even if we lazily assume the relegated sides will always fill positions 1-3 in the Championship every year, that still leaves 3 other playoff berths & a one shot game at Wembley. As we know anything can happen in one game. So we should realistically believe we can finish 4th-6th.
Instead we finished 21st with only a points deduction for an opponent saving us, we're massively in debt despite having financial advantages over the vast majority & we have a very poor manager by the standards of this division. So complaining about the riches of the Premier League & its bottom sides is futile. We are the architects of our downfall & complaining about it/insisting it should change will get us precisely nowhere.

the written words of a tribunal can be disregarded on a hunch?  I can see both sides of this.
Why is Pearce on the EFL committee if they hate us?
I don't think the do hate us as such  but they were a bit unprofessional in not spotting our unique methods and Boro called them on it.  Fair play to Boro if it takes a competitor out of the equation.  I would hope we would do the same especially if it is Boro.  Now not only do the EFL need to do the right thing by every one of the their club members they also have to be seen to have done so.  Taken it to LAP who found us guilty sufficiently to suggest a penalty.  Then they decided, even though they had the power to penalise us, to refer this back to DC.  They could only do this with the approval of the EFL.  They could have wacked us with XX points with no appeal but they didn't.  Sometimes it is best to open up to the idea that we are the masters of our own demise.

Don't think anyone  would be giving a toss about this if we were in the premiere leauge, but we're are not through poor management ,qestional coaching, and poor recruitment all of our own doing or not doing to be more precise.
It's never been a level playing field and never will be, and I am sure it's getting more bias towards top flight clubs. However if it was just about pumping money In to  a club to become successful Mel has surely disproved that theory.

Oh and another thing....how did the teams getting the parachute payments get into the Premier League in the first place without said parachute payments? They didn't magic themselves there so again just undermines the point you're attempting to make. Sheffield United were playing in League 1 four years ago, Bournemouth were playing in League 1 eight years ago and so on. So there is a way but we have contrived to stuff things up which we or Mel Morris to be exact have only themselves to blame.

I'm sorry but your post loses some of its credence when we HAVE spent multi million pounds worth of cash on absolutely useless players reaping the dividend of avoiding relegation to League 1 by the skin of our teeth.
You can harp on about clubs coming down from the Premiership having oodles of cash but we did too but the advantage we made of it was to piss it all up the nearest wall.
It's not the money that's the issue it's what you do with it. Or not what to do with it as Mel Morris will now sadly testify.

Yes there is plenty of money in the Premier league but that is the whole point of getting out of this division. Many teams come down and fall into mediocrity.
We wasted our parachute payments and since 13/14 have failed to capitalise on anything. The door has been wide open several times but we failed to take the opportunities.
Now we are further from promotion than we have even been since 20010/11 and that isn't because of the fortunes spilling down from the Prem it is through gross mismanaged by the board causing chaos both on and off the field.

While I agree football is broken and salary caps should be applied, the Premier League isn't going to change anytime soon. If it did it wouldn't attract the players it currently does and another country will take advantage.
And just because we're rubbish doesn't mean we can start moaning about relegated teams having an advantage. In 2007 we won the 'biggest prize' in English football, spent next to nothing and came back down with parachute payments. We also appointed Paul Jewell.
Ten years on - In 2017 Norwich appointed a manager, we could have surely attracted ourselves, who's taken them up twice in that time, making the club considerably better off than before he took over. In the same year we re-appointed a manager who failed to get us promoted, after we'd sacked a manager who spent millions on what turned out to be poor value for money.
So no point moaning about things out of our control. Just wish for an owner who makes some sensible and calculated decisions, and a manager who builds a team on a sensible budget.

This is allowed to continue for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, fans have been suckered into the 'attracting the best players' guff that the Premier league spout. The 'best players' are employed for the global market, not the local fans. Fans are there as scenery and chorus.
Secondly, there's the American dream crap of 'one day it could be is'. I'm now convinced that Leicester's league win was engineered to demonstrate this.

    100% this.
The sentiment of the OP is totally right but its like complaining about the weather - its totally futile as we have to operate within the system that we find ourselves in. It ain't changing. What is obvious is that in a division artificially skewed by parachute payments, fighting them on a financial basis (particularly with a FFP handicap) is lunacy.
Leeds, Sheff Utd & Norwich (previous time) got up without parachute payments & without exceeding FFP limits - the thing that linked all 3 was a) a well established & consistent pattern of play, b) recruitment totally geared to that style & c) managers with a vision who were backed by their respective owners. All 3 clubs had serious wobbles on their way up but stuck with the project & are now reaping the financial rewards.
Its obviously tough but this isn't a closed shop - we just need to be much much smarter & more strategic in the way we go about our business. We need an edge.

I think most people didn’t care about the disparity between us and those newly relegated either. It was how it always was, is and will be.
It’s not right now, it wasn’t right then but I think it’s a bit rich bleating about it now our gravy train has hit the buffers.

We finished below Luton, Coventry, Huddersfield, Preston, Blackburn and Millwall et al.
I think the three relegated teams with £170 million incoming are the least of our concerns.
Yes, the system is not a perfect one. But this hasn’t stopped relegated clubs being outperformed before and nor will it in the future.
We’d have hope if the club was being run well and we had a competent manager in place.
