It’s very nice, not many places sell it in Derby.
@Davidwouldn’t try it as he’d not heard of it before.

It's entirely possible to go where the money is and go out there to make a career for yourself, without first s******* on the front garden and pissing in the milk bottles of the people who adopted you at a young age, put you through school and allowed you to gain work experience in the family business.

Ah yes Reggie got there before me. The biggest clue was he played for Hazard United. That should have been a clue not to sign him too.

Having access to the best support is one thing, accepting that support is another.
I don't claim to know what Ibe has or is going through, I do however have my own experiences with mental health issues and know just how hard it can be taking that first step in admitting I had a problem, then getting the support.
I wasted 6 years of my life as I thought I was a man, strong enough to pull myself around. I wasn't.
Money can fix so many problems, need a house, buy one, need a new car get one.
Money can not buy mental well-being, so yeah I think you're being a bit harsh here.
It's easy to be flippant and brush it off as wasted talent without knowing the personal circumstances.
On a day that an interview with Deli Alli has been released which revealed he was sexually abused as a child and became addicted to sleeping pills, wanting to retire at 24...I don't know, just thought as a fellow human being we could all be a little more, kind?
Maybe I'm expecting a little too much from anonymous users behind computer screens.

One of my irritations with football is the fans who give all sorts of horrific abuse to players but get all "I'm so hurt and offended the this player who got appalling things shouted at him as said he doesn't like the group of people who just did that"

Would hate to know your opinion on Gary Speed....
No matter what walk of life you lead, mental a health problem isn't something you can just treat and walk away from, it can be a daily battle and in the majority of cases you never get back to where you were pre diagnosis. We've heard from several on this forum about their continual struggle and I'm sure there are many more on here that suffer that haven't opened up about it!
Anyway, do we know how it's gone with him? Could he be lining up against us on Wednesday,  if so, I hope there aren't too many nobs in the Derby end giving him stick, and actually recognise what entertainment he gave us in a rams shirt, he was excellent for us until Liverpool recalled him.
I hope he manages to succeed in getting some sort of career back on track.

    It's really simple.
If he took a single ounce of responsibility for the position he found himself in, displayed even the slightest shred of self-awareness and didn't instead play the woe is me card (even after he'd got his payout) with sob-story interviews then the ill feeling would have subsided.
He's still got ample opportunity to do that should he wish, it would cost him nothing. Maybe one day....

So we took the plaque to redecorate the pub, and where it was located is where we have put a TV. Someone came in and didn't see the plaque and asked us what we were going to do with it, we weren't sure and said that we hadn't decided and there were a few options that we were considering, maybe putting it back up or maybe seeing if the museum where the pigeon is on display were interested in displaying it for a while. It was reported back to Kal that we weren't putting it back up at all and that we didn't want it. We were contacted by someone else asking if we had the plaque and that the owner wanted it back. Kal came and collected it the following day, thanked us for looking after it and took it round the corner Dubrek. We do feel like we have had some shade thrown at us unfairly, not from Kal, but others without actually knowing the full story. In the whole process of the plaque being retrieved we were never asked if we wanted to keep the plaque on display.

Bloody tough, barrels are. It would just bounce. Although I could carry a Kilderkin (only about 175 pounds including the cask), a barrel was a different proposition, weighing three and a half hundredweight. You didn't lift it onto the thrawl - you rolled it, starting from an upright position, then tilt it across the edge of the thrawl (almost end over end). If you started the roll the correct distance away, the shape of the barrel would help you 'lift' it up.

As a few of you know, I had been working at The Waterfall for quite a while, however, I have decided to open up a pub of my own.
We've spent the past 10 weeks or so cleaning, redecorating, cleaning again, getting the place ready, to say it has been stressful is a complete understatement, and I'm sure my wife and business partners have been ready for killing me 😂
Anyway I imagine that a few will know the venue, it is Maypole Inn on Brook Street in the West End.
We have opened up this week, and it would be good to see any of you that fancy a drink, have a chat and it would be nice to put some more faces to user names.

    We asses the situation.
If we haven't gone up because others have outperformed us on the pitch then there's nothing we can/could do. No sacking. Try again next year. (we'd still be within the stated aim of establishing ourselves in the Championship within 5 years, just).
If we don't go up and it's considered that we didn't quite get recruitment right - or rather other teams recruitment was better than ours -  we look at where it went wrong and learn lessons from that. No sacking.
If we don't go up having assembled the squad the manager wants, and he's not managed to get the best out of them then serious questions need asking, because you simply can't hype someone's abilities up to the level we have and give them a free pass if they underperform.
By no means is it automatically Fail to go up - Sack the manager unless we fall horrendously below expectations set by the chairman for this season.
I think what I'm saying is... yes, things may not go to plan and it may be a slower build than some think but the whole point of appointing a manager with Warne's experience in this league is that it should give us advantages that over teams in a similar position or with a similar budget to ours (otherwise, we might may as well have appointed Steve Cotterill or  Steve Jones as manager)  - if it turns out not to be the case, as per my first sentence in this post, we assess the situation.

Went with mid-table, because there's always context and things happen that might make missing out on the play offs (as in we fall short again not as in we're midtable in 14th) not awful - we're talking about absolute minimum here not expected, not anticipated and certainly the hope is play offs.
