He sent me a PM at the beginning of COVID when I mentioned that my niece who was a nurse on a COVID ward had contracted it. He was just as positive as he always was with the Rams. I never met him in person, but I confess that I did shed a few tears when I read Angie's post. Life really is a b*****d sometimes.

First time I met him was when he was working at the Showcase Cinema in the Derbion.    He checked my ticket and told me where things were.  
Such a nice lad and an avid Derby County fan .
I hope Derby County recognise him in some way

This is from Palace away in the FA Cup just before Covid. I think it sums the great man up.

In over 50 years of watching the Rams, I've been lucky enough to see many 'legends' play for us and many a discussion is to be had on who is the greatest of all.
However, there is only one undisputed legend amongst us all on dcfcfans.uk and that's B4.
Although I never met B4, I couldn't help but admire his undying faith in our club, especially over the recent difficult years.
My thoughts are with those who knew and loved him. RIP Daniel.

Goodness me. I am so very sorry to see this.
As many have said already, I loved B4’s enthusiasm and commitment to the club he so clearly adored.
It’s been lovely to read the posts from those on here that knew him.

Awful news 😔
Unfortunately, having a family member who spent their life battling health problems and passed away far too young is something I can sympathise with. Hopefully his family can see the impact he had on this community and that will give them some comfort in this incredibly difficult time.
B4’s exhuberant optimism for the Rams can be repalced.

RIP Daniel. We didn’t know each other and I never had the pleasure of meeting you but to me , on this forum, you were Mr Derby County. I loved your positivity and your passing puts everything concerning DCFC into perspective. My heart felt condolences to your family & friends. Your passing came too soon, I hope you are at peace and we will all miss you. Today was for you B4.

This has broke me and I never met him. So sad. Condolences to his family. RIP Daniel (B4), as others have said you touched many people on here and you will be missed dearly. The forum won’t be the same. 

I was sat with him before the match on Sunday and he was telling me how ill he had been recently but when I received the news last night it was a total shock.
Daniel was always a positive cheerleader at away games, the very definition of a supporter that was always there through the good times and more importantly the bad, encouraging the team.
Angie introduced me to him as a fellow forum member a few years ago and I’m glad she did, it was good to get to know him as part of the football family, he will be greatly missed.
My condolences to his family especially his dad who was always there for him.

Yes, he's wound me up in the past, on occasion.  Sometimes I've had a nibble at him.  Sometimes I've bit my tongue and said nowt.
But oh so much more than that, his total and utter positivity was never disregarded, and his loyalty to, and passion for, DCFC was never... ever... doubted.
I'm not ashamed to say, He's been... and will remain for eternity... more of a Ram than I'll ever be.  🐏
 
Such devastating news does indeed put everything into perspective. 
Today's game comes a distant second behind this... even to the point that I'm really not in the mood any more, for a catch up on the matchday thread... but do you know what... today was precisely the sort of performance and result that would have delighted him... and just what he would normally have predicted with his blind, unwavering faith.  Despite my mood, I'm gonna read the lot... and read every single word in his memory... with a raised glass in hand! 🍻
I hope you were watching from above, B4, (Of course you were... silly me!) and I hope it put a massive grin on your face... and a spring in your step, now you are finally free at last, from your physical pains.
Feel free to bellow through the clouds "I told you so"!   😁
I'm sure many of us will mark your gut-wrenching passing in any number of ways in the coming matches... be that privately and/or publicly, and it is no less than you deserve.
I won't hesitate to twirl my scraver in your honour at future games, and my DCFC flange will forever be at half mast.

Im so sorry to hear this sad news. I always liked forward to reading his posts, they always made me smile. I met him briefly at Blackpool away a couple of seasons ago when my brother got injured. He very kindly messaged me giving me advice on ways to help my brothers recovery in the way only B4 could. Derby have lost a super fan , RIP B4 , Daniel 

I'm very sad to hear this news. I only knew B4 from this forum and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying his pre-match rallying crys were a highlight of every match and much beloved by many on here.
In some ways it may seem small in the scale of things, posting on a football forum, but through here B4 brought joy and touching words to more than a few. I'm sure that reflects the man who those who knew, loved.
My deepest condolances to his family and loved ones.

Devastating news. Although I never met Daniel, I feel like we've lost a close family member. I hope both he and his family can feel the love we have for him tonight. He would have loved todays performance. RIP buddy. A legend in every sense of the word. It won't be the same around here without him.

This is really upsetting news. He was the sweetest lad you could meet and fiercely loyal to this club of ours. I liked him a lot and loved his sabre-rattling threads. I'm really going to miss him.

Yes notived at the game that the seat he has sat on for many years had, his scarf on it with the words, R. I. P. on, and some flowers on as well, i sit 4 or 5 rows down, he was so positive , and loved the Rams so much, he will definitely be missed by many Rams fans and others who knew him, so pleased Derby put a performance on today, B4 would have loved the teams positive attitude and result today. 

Oh that is so sad Angie x. We all had a friendly giggle with B4. He always took even the worst and put a positive outlook on it. He’d have been delighted that Collions scored a brace today. His match report would have given us a lift as always A proper Ram. You’ll be chatting with Cloughie now “young man” . Much sympathy to his friends an family.
