Great support guys, very much appreciated and the feedback, we can only go from strength to strength, the goal is to get a permanent location set up in a professional layout but today was a great start to what can be achieved, history doesn’t have to be boring and their is nothing wrong in celebrating your past, great to see so many faces and put those faces to names !

Sorry to start another thread but we have been down at Pride Park all day at Harrison’s Hub setting up for our display over the next two days of all things Derby County and I wanted to share the results.

And Dave Mackay who, after all, won us the top division.
And, no, it wasn't all Clough's team. The great man also said Mackay was not given enough credit.
Hard act to follow Clough and, especially, to cut through the turmoil at the club.
I wasn't happy at the time - I just wanted Clough back - but, now looking back, I think Mackay did an amazing job.

You almost got the clap from me for this (pun intended). A bit unfair to include Philip Cocu. I agree he was trying to play a system that didn't suit the players at his disposal. He was the right manager at the wrong time who was badly deceived by Mel Morris like the rest of us.
He was in my eyes a nice guy that if he'd been given time and the backing, would have suceeded. I suspect he walked away without what he was due so for that reason alone he doesn't deserve to even come close to appearing on this thread.

This is the most pointless line anyone ever trots out about VAR.
Splitting hairs between the system and those using it isn’t the “well, actually” you think it is. VAR and the officials using it are one and the same, it’s a blanket term. 
The system its implementation and use are human driven, and the choice around how to apply the technology is human driven. It’s all the same thing. 
Facts are all still the same. The officials are awful, and VAR hasn’t helped a thing. In fact, it’s made it worse. Now, rather than blaming the referee or the assistants, you get to blame those same 3 people plus some hidden refereeing overlord who’s managed to watch it in slow motion and still arrived at a pointless decision… all whilst sucking the joy out of the moment.
