He's going to give Barks lessons in how not to tempt fate, and learn to tell us who has passed to who , rather than how old they are, how many kids they have and whether the players wife has had collagen implants

I'd settle for him telling Barks he doesn't have say, Dint it, wunt it, don't it, at the end of every sentence lol

I really like Barks and OB but it drives me mad lol....

Cairney - Joined Fulham 1/7/15 for £4m. We already had Thorne, Hendrick, Hughes and Bryson... and before the injuries to the latter 2.

Canos - Joined Brentford 31/01/17 for £2.6m. We already had Ince, Russell, Weimann, Blackman, Camara, Anya and Bennett at the club. Another winger wasn't a priority.

Judge - Joined Brentford permanently 1/7/14 and left 14/1/19. Ince, Russell, Weimann, Dawkins, Camara, Blackman, Anya, Bennett and Lawrence as winger options during that period. Again, not a priority.

I think his point is that the money would have been better spent on those players.....

Cairney is a better player than Hendrick and Bryson

Canos better all of those bar possibly Russell and a flying Tom Ince

Judge again id rate higher than most of those of that list bar Ince, Russell and the rare on form version of Lawrence

Some of the puma kits in the mid 90s had gold piping on and they were some of my favourite kits. Most of the stuff we have now is so boring - just feels like I could get a plain white shirt and draw a ram on it and it would be virtually the same as the home shirt - there is no creativity in any of them recently

Tbf the one for the season before last was jazzy with the zebra arms, I liked that and do like it when there's a bit more black on the arms.... I'd love to see them bring back the gold piping etc or even the blue piping we had in the auto windscreens days

Get us back to winning ways.

I doubt they would go back to Navy although for a season with red numbers I guess it could be OK.

Wonder if they might switch it around and have a navy shirt and white shorts away kit or something?

Wasnt our actual away kit that year yellow?

Ultimately, it's the EFL that are at fault here for not having a reasonable and agreed timescale in place to deal with this. Original verdict in our favour was last summer and their appeal wasn't immediate, it took ages. Then the appeal itself , with no further evidence allowed, should have been concluded quickly

This is absolutely correct, how on earth can they take 8 months but all of a sudden it's magically sorted the day after we stop up??

It absolutely smacks of EFL wanting to penalise us in the most vindictive way possible.

Surely it's not legal to wait until after the season ends to then win thier appeal and decide to relegate us without giving us the opportunity to make those points back? Sheff Wed had the entire season to claw back those six points.

Might as well just let the EFL decide which clubs they want to promote or relegate without even playing if that's the case

I wonder what the fans would have thought if he'd run us sensibly and within our budget financially? No doubt there'd have been dislike, but there was when he took over - not everyone was keen on him at the beggining.

Must be tough when through your own choices you've only got £500m left owing to your overspending at your own football club.

I can't imagine the money brings him much comfort for his ill health but presumably as he has plenty left we shouldn't be happy that he put all that money in?

Derby weren't exactly in a great state when he took over, and while I'm sure he could have done things differently if he had run the club as you suggest no doubt all those that claim he should 'put his hands in his pocket' and buy us players would have been even more out in force.

Did he hire the wrong managers, with hindsight yes, but at the time they all seemed like worthy appointments perhaps with the exception of Rooney although it very nearly worked to perfection with Lampard so why not think lightning might strike twice?

It's funny how time makes so many forget and look back with hindsight claiming that they knew this was coming....

Most fans were happy when we were throwing money around, now he should have been more prudent, you can't have it both ways

Mel gambled, rightly or wrongly that we would get to the prem, it failed and now we are paying the price, but you know what, we've been relegated before, as have much bigger clubs than us that are now back on the prem, so while I wouldn't welcome it, and while it would obviously be financially impactful..... If it happens I will still support my club, my team.

Importantly though, John Percy is a journalist not an expert. You have to be careful throwing out words like insolvency. Given Mel is the the clubs biggest creditor, why would he be concerned by insolvency? That couldn't arise unless he called it in.

Something I thought about this morning, given that Mel Morris is probably aware what people are saying about him on here and elsewhere (on and those 'Fans' groups, 1884, ramsblog etc etc on twitter) would it be a massive surprise if he turned round and gave it a massive F U?

I think he originally was of the opinion that he wanted it to go to someone he felt would love the club like he did as a fan...

As time has gone on, his health has deteriorated and absolutely as you've said he's seen that even 200m of his own money doesn't garner you anything but hate and vitriol he probable changed his mind and thought screw it... I just want rid...

Why should he care about the fans now when they have so clearly demonstrated they have nothing but contempt for him?

I know we want more transparency around what's happening around the club, but this isn't it.

I'd reply with, what the hell has it got to do with you? This is part of the problem nowadays, these journos think they are entitled.... Maybe we should ask Craig how much he gets paid per article, where is his bank account, what are his sources,

    Turnabout is fair game surely?

Any comments from all of the people that have decided the guy is a 'chancer' based on completely factually incorrect information in the Daily Mail now?

Nah, why would they do that, the hearsay and rumour mongering from that frequently wrong dirtrag is much more reputable than the guy actually coming on radio and talking about it and telling us what's happening....

I don't know why he bothered no one will believe him, it says volumes on here that the report comes out, the guy comes on to rubbish it and people moan that he is actually saying something and not keeping quiet cos 'thats what he said'

  10. It's quite amazing really hope good the finishing looks in training.... And we seem to train all the things that we haven't been doing too much of in the first team.... Quick passing, forward play, breaking the lines, first time shooting....

Hopefully these messages to the players get through ? great work from the club and cocu and staff to do something like this
