Nuts isn't it? Watching the scenes of the crowd when Korn are playing is just mad - how hundreds weren't trampled to death is beyond me.

This reminded me of when we met a Liverpool double winner. We were in Tunisia in the hotel lift and a guy got in on crutches and we went to the ground floor. After he had left my son said that’s Kevin Macdonald. We met him again later and got his autograph and had a chat.
It was a long time ago so I’ve just checked on Wikipedia and he broke his leg in September 1986.

Just remembered, I met John Toshack playing beach cricket with his kids on Rhosilli beach in the Gower in around 1976. Can't quite imagine many Liverpool strikers would choose that as a holiday destination these days.

The fact that Gavin Williamson is a sir and Kevin Sinfield is not tells you so much about this country and the values we hold. Kevin Sinfield is just something special - I hope there is recognition in this year's SPOTY for his efforts.

That's a sad one, but also we should remember he certainly got - and took advantage of - an extended relapse from what he was told was an almost certain early demise a few years back.
But that prowling, that stare, that posture - he was more punk, more indie, more new wave than many who came after him.
Might go watch Oil City Confidential tonight now.

So let me tell you the point I think you were making, and then you can tell me if I was wrong.
I understood that what you said was that Guiseley is near to Bradford and there are lots of Pakistanis in Bradford, that is only a short distance from Guiseley. And in Bradford there are lots of people whose families come from Pakistan, and there is a lot of typhoid in Pakistan. Therefore, there was a risk that the person who peed in the bottle could have given the goalkeeper typhoid, an opinion you have come to because you live in that area and have three friends who have gone to Pakistan to visit their family.
That feels about the size of what you have said - yes? If it isn't please feel free to inform me otherwise, if it is then I have to repeat it's a view that is somewhere between strange and downright racist in it's conclusion. That is not a personal insult, it is the conclusion of reading what you have posted - you are nothing but a user of a forum, nothing I say to you or anyone can be in any way personal.
As for my user name, I shall let the admins decide if it passes their consideration of what might be offensive. Given I've been here for more than a few weeks, I'm going to take it that they don't find it offensive - I hope the disquiet caused to you by reading it does not lead you to lose too much sleepor other affliction.

Not sure why you’re pointing out the population demographic of Bradford in this when there is a video of a white guy switching the bottles available in this thread. Plus, a resident of Bradford is surely more likely to go and watch Bradford City than go and support Guiseley and contaminate an opponents water bottle.
I did some research. Typhoid, if untreated, rarely lasts longer than 3 months as an infection. There are only about 300 confirmed cases in the UK each year, mostly from those who have travelled out to areas susceptible to high infection rates. Only 2-5% of those who contract the disease will carry it longer than 3 months. I think we can call the chances of the Warrington goalie contracting typhoid from this rather slim.
It is still an abhorrent thing to do and I hope they catch the idiot who thought it was an acceptable thing to do.

I just held the door open for Tyrone Mings at our local golf club. Last time I held a door open for a footballer was when I did it for Archie Gemmill coming out of Jordan and Fitch newsagents in Littleover village in about 1981 (I remember he was at Birmingham City at the time). At that frequency, I will never hold a door open for a footballer again in my lifetime.

Toyota 1000 - bought it for £200, the accelerator used to stick down so you literally had to drive it with your foot on the brake. Sold it two years later to a scrap dealer for £15 and bought a CD - Billy Ocean's Greatest Hits iirc - for my then girlfriend.
For those who don't know, this is a Toyota 1000 - mine wasn't baby vomit green but this one is now selling for €6.5k if you want it.
