BaaLocks got a reaction from therealhantsram in Watchable telly
I struggled through the first episode, feels a bit like a mix between Quantum Leap and Sliding Doors with Looper and Matrix thrown in. I guess that's my point, it felt a little derivative - just like they've all been put in a blender and we end up with a sc-fi, time jumping smoothie all the way down to having rain dripping from steel timbers as the character walks nervously through a badly lit underpass. I'll crack on for another episode or two but I can't exactly say I'm hooked.

The season hasn't even started yet. Let's see how we get on.

BaaLocks got a reaction from Chester40 in Boxing Thread
Just caught up on it and I agree. First up, very happy for Nick Ball - justice is done.
Zhang really has moved up the ratings the last year, looked like the sort of 'fight before the world title shot' kind of one that up and comings would take but he's really shown his grit (and power).
Wilder is an interesting one, and worth a couple of lines of thought. Five years ago everyone was running - we all knew his record was bloated against also rans but he was still feared, probably up to the second Fury fight. Since then all those obvious failings - footwork, stamina, fighting brain - have been exposed and we all sit here saying 'told you so'. But cast your mind back and wonder - would Fury have got where he did without having Wilder as the number one conquest on his resume, would Joshua have rushed to spark out Andy Ruiz if Wilder hadn't done the same to Breazale a month before, etc, etc.
As for Dubois, I think he's taken the place Zhang had a year ago. He's now that one that looks scary but shouldn't be a real worry to the elite. Which is why AJ will give him the fight, clean him out and hope Usyk comes back for the third.
IMHO!!!!

Oooh, that's a prosaic post - like it!

I've gone back to the OP on this one - the exam question also calls out decisions for us but, being Derby and general football fans in general, it seems we've rather focused on the empty half of the glass. So, to reinvigorate the thread a couple that we had in our favour.
- The Dwight Gayle penalty against Reading, pretty much ensured our season stayed on track and if it hadn't been given I'd argue we'd all be staring another season in League One in the face.
- The 'second' goal by Real Madrid at the BBG, should never have been given offside, as should our second penalty. We blew it from there but we got given that advantage.
- Wildsmith should have been sent off against Oxford, after that we're never coming back to win it

BaaLocks got a reaction from ariotofmyown in Chiropractor?
Chiropractors and osteopaths are pretty much lke Catholics and Protestants - they believe in the same thing but have different ways of getting there. Osteopaths generally use more rotation, and sweeping movements, whereas chiropractors are a bit more "crack your bones". I've done both, they both work and I will say that five minutes after your session you won't believe how you lived with being that stiff (no funnies please) before.

A +1 here for Pilates. I had severe neck and shoulder issues about a year ago. Got so bad I went privately to a physio who sorted out the basic issues and after a few sessions recommended Pilates to manage the situation and improve my posture and core strength. I now have a range of exercises I can do at home and if any of the old problems recur, I know that certain exercises will deal with them.
