Bob The Badger got a reaction from Kathcairns in The fans are the 12th man.
Can you imagine if we were just utterly horrible this season, losing game after game and adrift at the bottom.
Support would drop through the floor.
But because of the backs against the wall, us against the world mentality that the players and Rooney have created, the support has been phenomenal.
I'm jealous.
I wish I wasn't stuck in Cornwall and was going to away games because knowing what it was like in the old third division, these are the games and days when you bond as fans and have the most fun.
I think we'll sell out every away game between now and the end of the season, so if you're able to get tickets, don't hang around.
We're still odds on to go down, but if we do, we'll not go down unnoticed.
I'm not sure if he's allowed to do it, but seeing as nobody has been allocated the number 12 shirt (have they?), Rooney should name the fans as number 12, (like the Seattle Seahawks do) because we could be the 12th man on the pitch.
Great support people!

It would be so Derby, if the administrators had gone into administration.

Buy a ticket via your CC then after the game everybody contacts their bank to request a chargeback saying they didn't get what they paid for.
Everybody will lose eventually but it'll wrap Boro up in paperwork for months.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Bitter and Mr Twisted

Bob The Badger reacted to Day in Build the Rooney statue now!
Goodbye 2021, without a deduction this team made up of freebies and academy players would be 13th in the Championship, just 8pts off the top 6.
Build the Rooney statue now.
First job in management, everything he's had to deal with, incredible job he's doing. ???

Do you mean a flag or banner shoved really powerfully right up his rear?
That's a good idea, well done.
Who's up for making a banner with serrated edges and out of sandpaper?

Gibson is a knob head with his head transformed into a big knob. I’ll chip in for that.

If you really want to dig into it, there is a YouTube channel called WW2 week by week. 15-18 minutes each week based on each week of the war. Some big events like Pearl Harbour get extra episodes. Its currently on late December 1942.

Word War II in colour.
My knowledge of 20th Century history is pretty poor prior to Thatcher becoming PM, so I thought I'd check this out.
I expected to maybe last half an episode but I was utterly hooked and have a much better understanding of how the disparate elements of the war fit into place.
Using actual footage that has been colourised and interweaving it with expert commentary and other footage that I presume has been taken from movies and/or films specifically, it really is riveting.
I've watched the first 5 and I'm left with the overwhelming feeling that we were really, really lucky.
A lot of that luck was the multiple times Hitler hesitated from Dunkirk, to the Eastern Front against the Russians, to giving the go ahead to build more U-Boats rather than war ships, his indecision saved us.
Some interesting facts that I didn't know.
The noise the Stuka dive bombers made was artificially generated to make them sound more scary. They were kinda scary anyway.
The Americans biggest losses after Pearl Harbor came when they were attacked by the French in North Africa because the French were still pissed at Churchill for attacking their navy.
The battle of the Atlantic kicked off after a German U-Boat sunk the civilian SS Athenia by mistake.
Montgomery's hesitation almost meant a loss in North Africa, but Patton kinds bailed him out.
Half the Nazi high command were raving narcissists.
Ok, maybe the last one was kinda obvious.

Watching I'm a Celebrity for the first time in 15 or 16 years and that wife's request.
I'm actually finding myself laughing a lot even though I barely knew any of the celebs other than Madeley, who seems like he's on a PR campaign.
I do really like Ant and Dec.
I think maybe I just lowered the IQ of this thread.

Forgot to say.
PCR test came back positive. Got the result in around 20 hours.
So far I've just had minor cold symptoms off and on.
Glad I had my vaccinations and booster as soon as they were available.
The lad still testing negative. We are living in seperate parts of the house which I think both of us are enjoying to an extent
Managed to get him boosted on the 20th. He should have just been getting some cover when I became infectious

My 96 year old Nan started having symptoms on Xmas Eve and tested positive on Xmas day. Didn't sound good when I spoke to her on Xmas Day, but she sounds almost fully recovered now. Hopefully milder variant, plus 2 jabs and a booster, means we might be on our way home.

Try watching the other series of WW2 in colour as well. Covers the more major battles.

A film I recommend to everyone…..at the same time my wife tells them not to watch it…for some reason they tend to listen to her. Dark, thought provoking take on human nature I found it utterly compelling and also disturbing. Perfect Christmas viewing. Tommy Johnson sounds about right!

The Villain on Netflix starring Craig Fairbrass.
Low budget London gangland story. I was fast forwarding during the last 30 mins, and not in a good way.
