Bob The Badger got a reaction from DarkFruitsRam7 in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
meant for the scientists to figure out the advice they offer the Government.
I don't expect, not would I want them to, set policy.
Extreme examples like that serve little purpose other than for poorly informed people (not you btw) to say 'Ha! What about that then. You never thought of that did you?'
Neutropenic patients WILL die if given the vaccine, nobody is likely to die getting into a car under normal circumstances and when viewed statistically.

As @angieram said, there are people who cannot have the vaccine for medical reasons.
It would literally kill some people.
But also, what keeps getting missed/ignored is that the vaccines (like any other vaccine) are not 100% effective.
Bill Marr the US comedian and talk show host caught Covid after having both jabs and had to cancel his show last week.
He's a fit guy for his age and he didn't get sick, but some have.
And then you have the concern that with every mutation there is the risk that the vaccines will cease to work as effectively or even at all.
That's not been the case as of now (and maybe it won't ever) but as the virus continues to mutate they can't be sure.
    That's the reasoning.
Whether it's the right thing to do is another matter however and I honestly don't know.
I'd rather leave the scientists to figure it out.

Where is this mass hysteria you talk of?
I'm seeing mass eye-rolling more than mass hysteria tbh.

    She's brilliant in it
By all accounts HBO wanted her glammed up but she refused saying that's not how hardened cops are, which of course is true.

Wow, George is still alive. I thought he dies decades ago like Mildred.
That was a useful 15 minutes of my life, watching G & M clips on YouTube.

Looking forward to that, will watch when more are available.
Watching The Flight Attendant at the moment on Now Tv as well. Good stuff.
Netflix/BBC/Amazon all do some good stuff, but HBO is usually the best still.

Has Mare of Easttown come up yet?
Apart from the sucky play on words title and a bit of a slow start, it's absolutely brilliant 3 episodes in.
Kate Winslet is utterly outstanding in a Charlie George kind of way.
For those of you who like trivia, check out the stuff on IMDb about her when filming this.
Something I never knew was that most actors taking on a tricky dialect prefer not to break their accent during breaks whereas she didn't care a jot.
Seems like a lovely person too.

If a digital clock was broken you wouldn't see any display because they can't stick.
I was going to start that off by saying 'I don't mean to be pedantic' but then I realised, I absolutely was meaning to be a pedantic knob.
    Mission accomplished.

    Yeh they're very similar.
Longson brought in Cloughie who then took the club from one struggling in the old 2nd division to English champions.
Longson funded record signings for Todd and then Nish and with BC finally resigning (even though Longson constantly asked him to stop his outside involvements and focus on the club and was willing to give him a 5 year contract) he brought in Dave Mackay.
Mackay built on Clough's success to build what was arguably an even better team and also took Derby to the Championship again.
Then he made the team even better by bringing in Charlie George and who knows what would have happened if not for the gut-punching injury to Charlie.
Longson left in (I think) 1977, but in any case, with the club in the top flight.
Mel Morris took over the club and nothing much happened. We did make the playoff final I suppose, if they are the riches you are referring to.
I think that comparison lives in only one place - your head.

TBF I'm an utter knob. Even I get fed up with me pulling plots apart and pointing out continuity errors.
    I'm worst with trees.
If you expect me to watch a film of yours, you'd better film it over one season or make sure there are no trees (or coniferous trees only) or I'll be pointing out that the last scene was in summer and we're clearly now back in spring.
    It's like a drug.

So basically you're saying, we just need a draw at home to Reading - a team with nothing to play for - and we make the playoffs?
Sweet, what could be easier than that?

Only needed a point and didn't bother turning up. Feels like the same thing could repeat itself at the other end of the table except we won't turn up for about 20 games in a row instead.
