Total cumulative revenue before tax during time spent in Championship 2010-19: £232m.
That might interest someone to buy the club

Yes, but we’ve still managed to make one play off final and two play off semis since Mel took over.
Football is a game of incredibly fine margins. If Bryson had got on the end of that cross against Hull, we might have gone up in Mel’s first season. If Roos had caught the ball at Wembley, we might have gone up slightly later than planned.
As it happens, those things didn’t happen, and we’re left in 21st place and worried about our club’s future.
Mel has made some terrible mistakes, and his last act might well be to sell us to someone who destroys the club. His tenure has undoubtedly been a failure.
But if one or two tiny things had happened differently, he’d have been a club legend.
    Such is football eh?

I’d be tempted to try and get three or four in from League One to bring a bit of depth to the squad. It would act as a bit of a refresh and works with various budgets (if we do have a few bob there’s still room for marquee signings).
I’m going to ignore anyone in a promoted side (Dembele and Lewis-Potter would have been go to signings otherwise).
Top of the list is Conor McGrandles if Lincoln don’t go up. 6’1” CM, leader and potential captain. Boosts options and could fill the Bielik gap.
With Pompey not going up I’d be on the phone tomorrow for Jack Whatmough (Matt Clarke’s slightly better looking twin). 6’3” CB who wins everything in the air.
While on the phone I’d also be asking after Roman Curtis. Goals, height and pace. Could play anywhere across a front three. What’s not to like?
Up front, it might be worth sending @DarkFruitsRam7back to the Accrington Fan Zone and seeing if he can smuggle Dion Charles back to Pride Park. 19 goals in mid table team. Electric pace. If Blackpool don’t go up Jerry Yates fulfils a similar remit.

I want Adam Armstrong up front. Mengi and Edmondson will be ok for centre backs. Assume Byrne and Buchanan will stay - but Marshall will go - so a new keeper needed. Assuming Bielik is fit - I would like a creative midfielder - someone like Maddison (Leicester) but more affordable. I then would have a fully fit Ibe and another creative wide player - any chance of Harry Wilson?!

We finished 4th from bottom, claims to resign Waghorn, Gregory etc are ludicrous, our team at present is pants and we need a major overhaul.
Lets not get emotionally involved in players who have ultimately failed over the season, by one good game at the end of it.

What concerns me is that alonso has form of doing this before.
Also why remove his twitter account.
For me its a non starter.
I would recommend to mel that he pays for a consultancy service like KPMG or deloitte to source a good buyer for the club, they can audit the buyer to make sure they are of good character and have the funds they are experts at handling business issues and would definately be able to find interested people to buy the club.
I'm confident of this as someone who has worked over the years for a number of consultancy firms.
It would be a fairly quick turn around.

I think its another red flag for alonso takeover.
The first red flag is the rumour that efl asked alonso to put 35 million into an English bank account to proof intention to buy and that he has the funds to buy the club.
The second red flag is that there doesn't seem to be a consortium involved in purchasing Derby, so show us the money source.
Third red flag, rumour that alonso believes a failed manager like Rooney should stay at the club next season, a lack of football experience in my opinion thinking that way.
Fourth red flag, rumoured potential attempt to attract investors in alonso attempt to buy Derby as discussed in the daily mail article.
Fifth red flag, unconfirmed promise from alonso to invest 150 million in Derby, haven't seen a penny yet.
Sixth red flag, rumoured business meant to be used to acquire Derby registered at companies House with a very low amount of money linked to it.
Seventh red flag, after the loss of the efl can Derby afford to a figure openly hiding their ability to buy Derby from the efl. Can see that not going down well with efl.
Note: some of these rumours might have substance.
Supposedly, in every rumour there is a grain of truth.

I'm just thinking of the best players Derby might sign.
Its not just do we have new owners who have money ...
    1. Do we have a team to interest the best players, based on this season prospective championship talent might be receiving advice from agents that the teams in a mess
    2. Unknown what the size of the budget is, don't want older Premier league or championship rejects, would rather buy rising stars
    3. The rising stars are likely to be cheaper than the top stars in the championship at present.
    4. Derbys a bigger club in my mind than the clubs I've suggested buying players from
    5. Accused of only selecting players from the clubs being promoted from league one this season, true but I did so purely on the basis that at league one level, Derby need to sign star players and not the average league one player
    6. I've not looked at Europe because there's less guarantee that the quality of player needed would want to play for Derby or would cope with the rigours of the championship
    7. There are so many players Derby need to bring in to strengthen the team. Its not a matter of saying if we just had 3 new players that would be enough. In my mind due to players performances this year and contracts ending, I believe Derby almost need a team of new players.
    8. Derby are in the unenviable position of having to say no matter the fee the club needs to buy but again that limits the number of players the club could sign even with new owners bringing the money
    9. Efl rules will probably limit how much can spend on putting a new team together
    10. Rooney doesn't seem to get the best out of players. So the players already need to be talented to play for a manager like him

I thought this 'appeal' had nothing to do with the stadium but to do with the fact we had not been clear (they are trying to say misleading) about our amortisation policy.
I have a feeling that if found guilty (and that wouldn't surprise me) then we get no more than a slap on the wrist and yellow card, I'm not sure what more they can do.
I don't know about you lot just want to get this and the ownership issue out of the way and crack on with building for next season. I think the transfer window will be exciting this year, lots of comings and goings

I don't consider myself a super fan. I just don't see only being better than Rotherham and Wycombe over the entire season as any sort of success.
These are the same fans who have slagged Waghorn off for 45 games, but he turns up for game 46 and now we are suggesting we offer him a new contract?
It doesn't make me no less a fan because i haven't got caught up in the emotion of scraping survival on a technicality.

If Derby lose an appeal and get a lot points deducted it points the way for the sacking of Rooney, only a manager capable of winning a lot of games to make up for the deduction is worth while keeping at the club

We don't know if Alonso has told Rooney that regardless of the result today, he wants Rooney to stay on.
That gives Rooney confidence and doesn't mean that pressure is all out for him to get a result.
My thoughts are that if it was me and I was seeking to spend 50 million to buy Derby, I wouldn't hesitate to pay of Rooney regardless of say a few extra million and then buy the best team and manager that I could afford to lift the club out of the mess its in.
I would not risk it all on a manager who in my opinion isn't good enough to manage the club at any level.
Just because he's played for England and was an amazing striker doesn't mean he's equipped to get the best out of the team.
I know I'm guilty of rehashing thoughts I've already shared.
For me its not just about the players its about the tactics, players not being managed properly and played out of their best position.
Rooney totally lacks management experience. In my opinion he was given the job as a means to help find a buyer for the club.
If he was in any other job he would have been fired by now for his performances.

If relegated Rooney has to leave the club, even if forced out by fan protest.
If relegated based on current form id say he's capable of relegating Derby to league two if he remains in charge.
I dont see him with a winning managers ability.
Rooney staying on if Derby are relegated further hurts Derby.
If Derby survive, I'd still sack Rooney as I think even an average quality manager could have got better results than he has.
