“Thank you to all the staff, players and fans.
“I hope to see the club back where they belong under the owner.”
If he gave a hoot about the club, he would have honoured the contract he was under.
At least Derby are pursing compensation via FIFA.

22 year old, Free agent left back should be on derbys radar, as a replacement for buchanan.
Hes not as good as buchanan, but I think would be OK at League one level.

I am here for all the Davis/Stearman love. But a wee bit of caution (realistic expectation) should be exercised.

Davis will be 37, and Stearman 35 during this next season. At some point legs/backs/etc simply give out.

As much as a warrior Davis has proven to be, he surely can’t be expected to suit up for the full dance card this year.

My guess is Derby will likely add more Center half’s than many would like to see…prompting some to think a three at the back. When it’s more likely a hedge for the likelihood more then one or two of our older lads will be needing more breaks.

I don't think we should offer a 37 year old more than a 1 year contract.last season was remarkable, especially for Curtis but I can't see the sense of offering more than 12 months especially as he has stated his preference for punditry when he hangs up his boots.

The efl have gone on record saying that they support derby and not buchanan.
    Buchanan has breached his contract.
It's for our new multi millionaire owner to resolve.
I don't see buchanan being allowed to walk away for nothing.

Losing knight would be a major blow.
I'm confident derby will not find a better quality midfielder to replace him with, especially as derby are restricted on what they can spend on players.
So is knights replacement to be a player of at least 30 years, who is a free agent because no club wants him, and someone who hasn't half the skills knight has.
I hope the new owner is able too that it's possible to potentially build a promotion campaign around knight, but without him we are maybe a top 8 team.

Derby fans never cease to amaze me. 21 year old who has represented England at U19, U20 and U21 level, and he’s not considered good enough by many for our forthcoming season in League 1. I do hope we can hold onto him, and he matures into a quality defender for us over the next few years along with Cashin.

I hope we sign Cambridge United forward Sam Smith. He's 24 and could be one for the future.
He was in fine form last season with 21 goals.
Of his 21 goals, Smith netted 15 times in League One as he played in all 46 matches, playing as a lead striker and a winger. Along with four goals in the EFL Trophy, Smith netted in both FA Cup ties against Northampton Town, with Cambridge reaching the FA Cup fourth round stage after claiming a giant-killing victory against Newcastle United at St James’ Park in the third round.
Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers are linked with him, but hopefully we can show some guts and sign him for Derby.
Would definitely show that we are not looking to stay in League one next season.
Currently derby are lacking this quality of striker.
Derby are however rumoured to be interested in David McGoldrick, who at 34 and based on recent seasons, would struggle to hit the target.

Wages. Even if we were severely restricted on what we can pay out (50%), We would still be ahead of everyone else in the league except for Ipswich and Sheff Weds.
40 Players. Rooney was on record saying we need to sign up 40 players. That included the players already at the club but coming to the end of their contracts. Essentially leaving us with a 23 man squad for the first team and U23s. What you think is 40 players is actually more like 10 at most.
Restrictions. Wigan could spend on transfers as soon as they exiting administration via the same method we will be. The real restrictions won't be what the EFL impose, it'll be what DC is willing to put in.

Joe is steady but none of our last 5 or 6 managers have ever trusted him to be number 1.

If he’d have stayed at Wednesday he would have been 3rd in the pecking order, so can understand why he left
As for league 1 get ready for time wasting, the worst officials ever seen and teams upping there game against you as it’s there biggest game of the season. Not much football played in this division either so I’d suggest a few big cloggers in the side

    Some thoughts.
Rumour 1: clowes offered to buy the ground so that it would be possible for ck, to buy the club.
    https://washingtonlatest.com/chris-kirchner-moves-step-closer-to-completing-derby-takeover/
Rumour 2: A journalist investigated this by calling the clowes offices, and at that time, clowes denied that this was the case. He might have been unable to do anything else if there was a non disclosure agreement in place.
Thought: As clowes business is a very large business developer, and might own business properties a as part of that. The ground could be considered a business asset.
Thought: Clowes has an estimated net worth of 300 million, if the ground cost 20 to 25 million. Its possible there's difficultly in parting with a further 30 to 40 million to buy the actual ground. That's a decent amount of clowes total net worth, especially since much of clowes total net worth could potentially be tied up in business assets. That's unlike MA who it's rumoured has 50 million in a cash deposit available to buy Derby.
Rumour 3: MA offered to partner with ck, to help purchase the club. Ck rejected the offer.
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derby-county-takeover-kirchner-ashley-7166395.amp
Thought: it might be possible that ma approached clowes to offer to buy the club, now that clowes owns the ground.

Imagine until a takeover is completed we can't sign anyone. Wasn't getting finance in place purely to show that we could complete the season. Who would sign them anyway, the administrators won't and Rosenior is only taking interim charge for training etc.
