Ck paid 1.6 million to keep the club afloat, the article suggests thar if he fails to get the club he loses that money.

    "

reassuring recent example to look to for Derby supporters would be the case of Wigan Athletic.

With very few senior players available and a less than ideal summer transfer window, the Latics battled for their lives at the bottom end of League One for almost the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign, and heroically stayed up by one point.

The spirit is definitely in place at Derby to replicate that achievement if not improve on it, and with Wigan strengthening enormously to take the League One title in 2021/22, there is hope that this will be a brief spell in League One for the Rams."

  2. Cbx1985 I agree with yoir analysis in part.

However, some assets might appear worthless but investors see the future value.

Investors in bitcoin didn't see the tangible value of the asset but the intangible value, the future unrealised value of the asset.

When someone purchased a Banksy art work many years ago, that art work on face value had little value. Yet now that same art work can be worth a fortune.

Dcfc value is very little, as long as it remains in League one.

"How much does the Championship play-off winner earn?

Winning the Championship play-off final and earning promotion to the Premier League is understood to be worth hundreds of millions of pounds, though it varies season by season.

In 2020, Deloitte suggested that victory in the play-off final could see an increase in revenue of between £135 million ($167m) to £265 million ($328m), depending on whether a promoted team can avoid immediate relegation.

Official figures for the 2020-21 season showed that broadcast revenue totalling more than £2.5 billion ($3bn) was distributed among the 20 clubs in the Premier League.

Of that, each club was guaranteed at least £31.4m ($38.9m) in equal share payments, £47.5m ($58.8m) in international TV and £5.9m ($7.3m) in central commercial payments: a base line of roughly £84.8 million ($105m) per team, regardless of position.

As well as that, clubs were given merit payments - ranging from £1.7m ($2.1m) for last-placed Sheffield United to £34.9m ($43.2m) for champions Manchester City - and 'facility fees' which depended upon the number of televised games they were involved in."

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/EFL_League_One_play-offs#:~:text=EFL League One.-,Prize,funded by the Premier League.

"The financial value of winning the EFL League One play-off is derived from the additional remuneration clubs receive in the Championship. As of 2018 clubs in the third tier receive around £1.4 million, comprising a "basic award" and a "solidarity" payment, the latter of which is funded by the Premier League.[25] In the second tier, the total funding rises to a total of around £7 million, a fivefold increase in revenue.[26][27] The winners of the final receive a trophy.[28][29]"

    And then ...

    https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/breaking-derby-county-takeover-statement-7196440

So first MA and Appleby say they've done everything they can to reach out to our administrators.

Our Administrators are not talking to them.

If we believe this then Qs statement, means nothing ...

“The joint administrators wish to confirm they are engaging with a number of parties who have expressed a desire to acquire the club," part of a statement released on Saturday evening said. "As confirmed in yesterday’s update, Mr. Kirchner is one of those parties, as he continues to seek to provide us with satisfactory evidence that he is in a position to complete the acquisition of the club.

"At this stage, the joint administrators will not be naming any of the other parties they are engaging with. "However, they understand some of those parties may wish to go public of their own accord."

For me it's a vote of zero confidence in Q.

  4. Q need a deal that at least matches Ck.

Ma didn't get close to that offer.

I'm wondering, will any offer get close.

If not then there has to be a justifiable reason for the creditors, as to why ck offer was invalid.

I think the offers need to be at least close to ck, why should the creditors accept the offer if that's not the case.

Q have one job, obtain the best offer for the creditors.

Q doesn't have the job of pleasing the fans.

  5. The press like to wind people up, especially football fans, it's what sells newspapers.

If ck had a problem with funds for this deal, he had the perfect way forward in the situation, as the press have already said that ma offered to buy the club with him.

Ck declined, so I don't see why funds would suddenly be an issue.

Plus, why go through, all of the things he's had to go through to become the preferred buyer, only to pull out at the last moment because he didn't have the funds, to me that's senseless.

  6. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10893525/Fears-mount-Derby-Countys-takeover-TWO-buyers-wait-wings-buy-Rams.html

I doubt this is reason for concern.

If ck lacked funds bring the prefered bidder, is likely to mean people approach ck willing to partner with him financially as ma did but there could be others.

For a business the size and reputation of Derby finding silent partners to invest is probably a lot easier than buying the club outright.

For silent partners it's less hassle, you don't require the hassle of the day to day running the business.

I'm not saying that's a route that ck wants to go down having rejected ma.

In any case daily mail like to run stories thar attract readers, so stir things by saying something is rumoured to be potentially possible.

I wonder why mm didn't bother to either seek a sale of the club or seek a business partner to raise funds, rather than raising funds in the way that he did by using the stadium revaluation.

That in itself made me think that mm didn't have a great business mind.

  7. At 31, is he a bit young for a member of the coaching team.

Is he playing as an attacking midfielder.

Sure cardiff fans are glad to see the back of a player, who will not score at least 10 goals in a season.

The Cardiff fans seem to think he's fairly slow for an attacker.

"That is not to say Collins has not had his opportunities, mind you. In fact, he has had 16 shots on goal, 12 of which have been inside the penalty area."

"whether the striker being unable to find the net is one of the many causes behind the Bluebirds' slump"

About kircher when someone said he does not care about football that is not true at all he said his dad played football in the states and his sister does and so does most of the family and he wants make us successful again and that shows he cares and I just wish people stop being negative quite clearly he wants derby and rooney can see ambersation for this great club and rooney got drive and grit to make us great again.

Mike Ashley offered to partner with ck, to buy the club and ck declined.

If ck were purely money motivated, he could have accepted that offer and allowed ma to be the financial backer.

However, he's obviously got plans for dcfc, that involve him being the complete owner of the club.

On the argument of football knowledge, if its true that he's using Gary cook as his strategic advisor on football club matters, I don't see an issue.

Cook has a more than decent knowledge of football.

Even if cook's not involved, he's still got rooney. Rooney in my opinion is a very clever man when it comes to football.

So I'm sure things will be fine, in terms of football club management and strategy.

That doesn't negate my concerns about which players are acquired to rebuild the team or trying to do everything on a low budget.

Rooneys on record as saying that we need to sign a lot of players this summer.

Maguire reckons 3 million per season is the cost to get promoted from league.

I think with derbys team needing a significant rebuild, I'd place the cost as higher than that.

However, it seems about right for an average cost to win promotion to League One.

    I accept Maguires knowledge.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derby-county-league-one-promotion-7163743.amp

According to football finance expert Kieran Maguire, it costs a promoted club on average of £3 million to get out of the division. That's almost a tenth of what it costs to win promotion from the Championship.

  10. I'm excited to see the largest ever debt for a football club reach its conclusion.

As someone who has been a manager in an auditing firm, I'm glad that a resolution has happened.

I've no qualms about ck taking over.

Just happy to see job done, and to get on with the rebuild.

I see some challenges ahead in League one.

I accept that with a sizeable debt, it was always unlikely that the process was going to be smooth sailing, but happy that it will behind us in 3 years, once the final payments go to the creditors.

  11. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/werder-bremen-interested-in-derby-player-despite-recent-contract-update/

Great news, happy to see him move on for 8 million plus, not a bad fee for a defender.

Yes, it's possible they'd want to offer less, and I definitely wouldn't sell him for less.

I'm keen to see a decent return on players, and international clubs should pay more.

A year from now they valued him at 30 million.

  12. https://www.google.com/amp/s/the72.co.uk/270884/derby-county-set-to-lose-jason-knight-this-summer-as-premier-league-championship-clubs-circle/amp/

If knight goes he mustn't be sold cheap, I consider his value at above 8 million.

I'd like to get 15 to 20 million for him, but would he command that fee as a League One player.

I don't want to see the efl demanding, either we pay creditors back sooner or pay more to creditors if we sell knight for a decent fee.

  13. https://punditarena.com/football/rudi-kinsella/jason-knight-leeds-raphinha/

Someone to replace knight if he leaves for a massive fee, knight being under contract until June 2023.

I do have one concern, if knight is sold, does the money get paid to creditors.

Obviously, if that happens, there's zero deal with Leeds as no benefit to the club.

If derby pocket the money, then I'd consider 8 million upwards a fair deal, and would be content to let him move for that.

I'd want to see the money from the sale spent on transfers for derbys new season.

I wouldn't want to sell for under 8 million and a derogatory nod towards us for say 3 to 5 million, Leeds can do one!

  14. Since both our goalkeepers are free agents this summer, I thought I'd look at the quality of goalkeepers in League one...

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/ranked-the-13-best-goalkeepers-in-league-one-including-sunderland-rotherham-united-sheffield-wednesday-plymouth-argyle-and-portsmouth-stars-3649360%3famp

    1. Josh Vickers

The Rotherham shot-stopper has kept 12 clean sheets in his 20 appearances for the Millers this season. Vickers had started 15 league games in a row before missing the defeat to Charlton Athletic at the weekend. He has a clean sheet percentage of 60% this season.

    2. Viktor Johansson

Johansson kept nine clean sheets in his 20 appearances this season before he was usurped by Vickers in the Millers goal. He has a clean sheet percentage of 45% this season.

    3. Christian Walton

Walton has missed just one Ipswich game since October and has kept 13 clean sheets in 30 appearances for the Tractor Boys this season, giving him a clean sheet percentage of 43.3%.

    4. Michael Cooper

Plymouth’s fantastic season to date has been built on the consistency of Cooper in goal. He has featured in every game this season and has conceded just 40 goals, keeping 17 clean sheets in the process. He has a clean sheet percentage of 40.5% this season.

    5. Anthony Patterson

Patterson’s recent resurgence to becoming Sunderland’s No.1. was unexpected, but his form in between the posts mean he has become one of the first names on Alex Neil’s team sheet. He has kept six clean sheets in his 15 games for Sunderland, giving him a clean sheet percentage of 40% this season.

Thinking about league one, where being in administration has landed us.

A good statistical analysis of league one football versus the championship.

    Key findings ...

    - more goals scored in league one than the championship

    - high passing games in league one, so controlling midfield is important

    - more throw ins than the championship, so having an expert in throws can help to win matches

    So @Oldben, of your list...

Will Keane, Scott Twine, Lee Gregory, Ryan Hardie and Matty Taylor were all free transfers.

Callum Lang came through Wigan's academy.

Then Michael Smith (nominal), Ross Stewart (300k) and Sam Vokes (undisclosed) are the only ones who commanded a fee.

Not bad for saying we'd absolutely have to spend on a striker to score enough to finish near the top.

    That's good to know.

I'd like to see two new strikers, in case of injury.

I'd like to be able to change tactics sometimes and have two strikers playing together.
