Disagree. This is of course just my opinion, but there are stats to back this up so it’s somewhat based on fact.
NML, Hourihane, Barkhuizen, Sibley, Collins, Washington, Bird, Ward have all shown themselves capable of scoring goals at this level.

We’re carrying a better threat from set pieces, be that corners or indirect/direct freekicks. So if a goal from open play isn’t likely due to teams sitting in we can lump corners in towards Nelson and Bradley.

The squad has options in terms of how we could play, yes Warne has shown a preference for a back 3, but we have the options (especially if we do add a couple more) to play 3-5-2, 3-4-3, 3-4-2-1, 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 etc etc. 
I know it’s all opinions but I really don’t get how some fans are so down on the season before it’s started. We’ve got a better balance, which has helped provide better depth, there’s some viable options in the u21s which should help with rest and rotation at times, the peak age of the squad as been improved. Yes a couple of very talented individuals have moved on, but we’ve got a squad of committed players all working towards a shared goal….plenty to be optimistic about for me 

Did we? We didn't have a proper fullback in the side. We had makeshift right backs and full backs (depending on what position you see Haydon Roberts being best in). We also lacked with centre halves, Curtis wasn't at his best, Chester never played. We couldn't play 3 at the back for large portions without proper wing backs or enough centre halves like Warne wanted to play. 
We've lost some energy from Knight, but ultimately we have players who can act as runners. I'm not his biggest fan but Thompson covers a lot of ground.
What do you consider a decent forward that is a possibility for us to sign? I think we've got a striker in Collins who will score a lot more this year. He thrives off crosses into the box which we never provided him with last year, with our new fullbacks I'd expect him to score a fair few more goals. I'm sure that Mendez-Laing will grab a few too. I don't think we'll get another 25 goal striker like McGoldrick, but our squad is pretty good.

Honest appraisal from me .. man mountain, never to be bullied, played with heart, guts and fire. Loved him to bits. But clumsy shirt grabbing penalty risk ? Err yes, quite a lot ! 

So there's no point in signing anyone, when they aren't any better than what we have, leave the money in the club. The signing of players in previous years who didn't make a difference and in many cases hardly played like Blackman for instance got the club in the mess of nearly going out of business 
I get the feeling on here any signing would be good choose who it was " just because we nearly went bust" We should know our place 
So I say we need to stop suggesting over the hill players and leave the squad alone , if thats where we are

He will develop as a player. Waghorn et al won’t. They’ll just get slower.

Just because we have money doesn't mean we have to spend it all right now. Perhaps despite the budget we have there isn't the right value for money out there for us in the market?
This time last year we were neck deep in the consequences of an owner spending for the sake of it. Now our new owner wont spend for the sake of it people are whingeing about it. 
I trust Clowes and the club setup as it stands to make the right decisions for the club in the long term.

As for the Jordan Rhodes noise, if he signs then whatever. We've seen too many times before that signings we all got excited about have turned out to be a bit of a disaster, and signings that we all moaned about turned out to be shrewd bits of business.
No point wetting the bed over it at this point.

He’s already commented on how difficult the market for strikers is proving to be and that he may have to go outside of the ideal age bracket. He’s proactively addressed it in advance of these signings, people either haven’t heard that interview or are wilfully ignoring his more recent comments in favour of the older ones. 

The negative posts on a possible Rhodes signing represent a tiny proportion of Rams fans - no way does Warne have to make any comment to defend his signings.

Random thought about strikers.  I’m pretty sure that ahead of the Matlock game PW said ideally he’d have 4 strikers but he’s likely to have 3 better ones.
Looking back at last season Didzy and Collins scored 33 league goals between them, 22 and 11 respectively.  Didzy had 4 penalties, assuming we’d have had them anyway and Collins would have scored them as the preferred taker then that leaves 18 goals to replace.  If that had been the case Collins would have had 15 goals, so roughly 1 in 3.
I’m sure PW thinks he can squeeze a few more out of Collins and get the right players around him so he stays in and around the box.  Washington is historically a 1 in 3 striker at this level, so we can expect 10 - 15 goals from him.  If we can sign another striker who gets around a similar number, we’ll be looking at around 40 - 45 goals from 3 strikers, more than than the 2 combined last season.  Add in more from the number 10’s and from set pieces, as I think we’ll be a lot bigger threat from corners and free kicks this season, I can see is getting more goals than last season.
I think we’re getting a bit too focused on losing Didzy’s 20+ goals, whereas I think whilst we won’t replace his goals with 1 player, we’ll get more and be more effective as a team.

I agree we need back up to cover injuries but I don’t think u can use James Chester as an example he was an injury waiting to happen, personally keeping on a tight budget I think Forsyth and Rooney will be well capable 

We’re in league 1 for fook-s sake a back 3 of Nelson Bradley and Cashin is pretty exciting irrespective of what forward line we get
