Or if the EFL had never charged us in the first place. Both charges required the EFL to over-ride indpendent assessments (by the valuers of PPS and by the auditors). Both very high bars (or should have been). And the amortisation policy should have been challenged in 2016 or not at all.

Maybe . Or maybe some people would realise there are worse owners out there. Far worse.

    Thanks Angie, very helpful.

And the "funding gap" caused by the pandemic is estimated at £30 m to £40 m, not the £20 million revenue gap that was often quoted.

And what about the cost of not being able to sell the club as a result?

The Crouch review recommends a fairer distribution between EPL and EFL.

The latest BBC report says we are still losing money but that is partly because season ticket sales were paid in advance/ carried over, so there is currently little no new money coming in. Otherwise we woud be profitable as a Championship team, leave alone a Premier league payola team. .

There are a lot of fans who are not turning up who might wish to be ‘busting a gut’ too. However, COVID has not been fair to the old - and we do have I would suggest a quite old fan demographic - nor has it been kind to many in terms of income. I think it’s a bit crass to call out fans who in the past have done their bit, but for now have good reason for not being able to attend.

A typical strawman argument from a repeat offender. Hypocrisy being another common theme to your posts.

I have not recommended that any thread be closed down. I certainly haven’t suggested this thread be closed down quite the opposite.

a thread regarding an existential threat to Derby County Football club , the processes of which I think you yourself agreed you were not aware of , seems to me a very important discussion point on a rams forum.  Is that a narrative that anyone could disagree with?

And the worrying thing is it’s then left at the discretion of the Efl board. Comprising ridsdale , a Boro member , a Forest member and Parry.
    hells teeth.
