Very pleased for the Mackems, both because County Durham is a fine part of the world and also because they thoroughly deserved it. Oh. They beat Wycombe. Bonus.

Well done to Sunderland. Happy to see them back in the Championship after a long stint in League one and even happier to see that parasite at Wycombe sharing a league with us next year - hope we smash them twice.

Absolutely. Need to be in it to win it.
Plus, it annoys the fans of other clubs. ?

I guess sooner or later a case like this is inevitable. There are many millions at stake and clubs are basically just flouting the rules.
Not sure how the authorities can prevent member clubs from suing each other - they can put it in their rules, but then those rules could be subject to legal challenge too.
In our case my main objection was that there was no talk about suing us until after we'd gone into administration, and even then it wasn't formal legal action but simply a claim that they were creditors who might take formal legal action if they didn't get satisfaction from the EFL. It was basically a way of holding a stricken club to ransom by preventing a quick sale. And the EFL went along with it.
It would be very hard to prove damages in a court case, of course, but it feels like we will end up with one at some point and if nothing else that might give clarity, and/or force proper restructuring, oversight and enforcement of the rules.

Agree with you on the love of football, mine has mostly gone. But the whole thing has connected me with the Rams more than ever before and made me realise how important they are to me. Priority was getting promotion to the premier league, now it’s about loving and celebrating the club sharing memories with the fan base and hopefully my next family generations, win lose or draw, whatever division we are in. Couldn’t give a duck about the soulless Premier League.

Rejoice at that news and huge thanks to @Cam the Ramfor bringing it to the forum when everyone was in the deepest slough of despond. Derby are back!

Just arrived home after an absolutely fantastic day out. I’m sat on the sofa with a glass of whisky, so forgive me for being overly sentimental.
This season has been an absolute ducking blast. From Jack Stretton belting it in the top corner for our first away goal with fans in the ground for nearly two years, to the lads clapping us off after going down this afternoon, it’s been an absolute joy following the club this season. Every single man wearing that badge has given absolutely everything every time they’ve stepped on that pitch.
Wayne Rooney is an absolute bloody hero. Every week he’s been asked about how good the fans’ support has been. Every week he could have given a crap clichéd answer, but instead he’s managed to say something that’s shows he genuinely loves the club every single week. No manager has made me as proud to be a Ram as Wayne Rooney has.
The fans have been absolutely sensational too. Home and away, we’ve been the best in the league by an absolute country mile. The love the players show us is a testament to how good we’ve been.
On a personal note, it’s been brilliant to get to know the likes of @angieram, @B4ev6is, @Curtains and more a lot better at various games this season. Fans like those are the absolute lifeblood of the football club.
We go on to the last three games, knowing that we can enjoy them no matter what now. And let’s give the class of ‘72 a huge, huge reception on the final day. Their spirit lives on in this fantastic bunch of lads.
We are Derby, in the past, today and forever ducking more.
    Up the bloody rams x

Have been philosophical about today...suspected we would get beat so had mentally prepared myself for the inevitable disappointment. There was also part of me relieved we could draw a line under it all.
The Moor Farm scenes have got to me though. An unexpected silver lining to the day & just so proud to see such a bond between fans & the team/staff....a 'club' in the truest sense of the word. A lot of goodwill both sides of the fence that we'll need next year.
Well done to everyone who went down there to welcome them home ?

Scrape out the fatty corners for the dog. Sub out the HP for Dijon, then add some sliced greenhouse tomatoes and crispy lettuce. Thing of wonder.

Always an experience and an education in the joys of travelling with the Aberdeenshire Rams.
It's all part of being a Derby County supporter, the hope, the disappointment, taking half a life time to get home, to get so close, through all the hurt, the lack of sleep, the worry, the discomfort, to be then informed that the replacement megabus will be with us as soon as possible.............so this administration and preferred bidder malarky becomes a walk in the park, in the cold, in the dark, who put that ducking bin there!

Enhanced by a gig in Islington with @Inverurie Ram, taxi to Victoria from a Millwall fan and the ‘pleasure’ of the overnight Megabus to Aberdeen. With quality facilities and happy students returning to Central Lancs.

Some time on the A90 north of Forfar, twelve hours or so later, the elation was taken to new levels by blinding rain and, yes, the wipers on the bus stopped working. Dear diary, sod off.

Same for me with football except watching the kids stuff. However I am sure I will not be able to resist a Phoenix club eventually but that very much depends who owns it and how it is run. If the childish bickering and point scoring sometimes between the different fan groups is in evidence at all - forget it. I think a Punjabi rams vibe phoenix would be spot on
