After reading a lot of posts tonight I felt I needed to say this somewhere and rather than post a new thread thought I’d drop it in here.
Every single person on here, no matter what their background is has one thing in common... Derby County. We all want us to do well at the end of the day.
In an age where people are encouraged to speak out about their issues, it’s disappointing to see posters ridiculed by others.
for me this is just a forum I look at passingly but for others it’s much more than that. This can really be a toxic place... especially after a loss!
i guess I just want to say be kind to each other, you don’t know what effect your comments can have on others.
Some things I’ve read on here tonight could be classed as bullying...Just treat others how you’d like to be treated.
    We’re all rams aren’t we ?

I’m currently having a nightmare with a schizophrenic neighbour. The poor woman has basically been neglected and spends an hour banging on the walls and screaming three or four times a day.

I’m basically now required to record her and send a recording off via an app. Sadly though, after about 100 submissions, she’s not received any help and myself and other neighbours have received no peace.

I live in a flat, she lives above my next door neighbour. We have adjoining walls to the kitchen and bathroom.

I did have a little recording, which would amaze some of you that such a noise could be created, but cannot attach the file due to site settings!

    Anyone experienced any similar?

It's pretty much perfect if you like beautiful weather, picturesque views, chilled out vibes, warm sea, fantastic food, great local drinks, incredible turkish baths, friendly locals, great service and brilliant trips.  Nearly all at reasonable/cheap prices.
Main problem we've found is that hard to find anywhere else to go that ticks all the boxes.

Jerash near Amman is good but not worth the drive from the south if you're flying to aqaba rather than Amman. I quite liked Amman too.
Petra was about £50 entry when I went a few years back(7/8 years?) so I assume it's more than that now. I think it was even more if you hadn't been in the country for so many hours prior to going in (in order to fleece cruise passengers and day trippers).
Didn't actually think you got much for the money in terms of guide to the site and the signage/info boards were quite basic so maybe make sure you've got some guidebook or something to make the experience a bit better.

No. We were planning to go with them this year but we could not get together on dates. Might try and squeeze it in next year.

Apart from Shinnie at left back (I'd still go with Forsyth at the moment, for all his weaknesses... at least he is an experienced fullback) I thought "that's not bad at all".  And then I realised - hold on - that team has no place for Bird, Sibley or England's record goalscorer. And I suppose that means we might have something like a decent squad in a couple of month's time when everybody is fit!?

I'm hoping to go to Brugge in August, and pay a few visits to the North Sea Beer Festival in Oostende.
    Fingers crossed, of course.
Before then, we have a week booked in Mevagissey, Cornwall, in July - same place we went in 2019 and should have been going to this year.

There are old Roman ruins you can walk to from Dalyan and several tombs in the cliff overlooking the town.

Went on a guided tour from Marmaris (inc Ephesus) in the 80s! It was a bit meh even then. We stayed at a hotel (can't remember the name) that had bits of an old Greek/Roman site in its swimming pool - that was cool. Ephesus was great and since then lots more has been dug. Stayed nr Bodrum about 7 yrs ago, that was good. There's vast quantities of 'lesser known' ruins that are mostly empty of tourists. We went to the Temple of Zeus and the Temple of Hectate, we were the only ones there! Bodrum was interesting and Bodrum Castle museum was great.

Hope the Emmys won by Watchmen will remind anyone who hasn't seen it to get on it. Think it's in my Top 10 of all time. Thrilling.

We did, to be fair. Cheaper than taking the whole family to the cinema. Got some popcorn in, been a while since we had a cinema family trip.
I I kg really signed up to Disney plus myself for the marvel stuff that’s coming out (although the kids love it, but sometimes I forget that the world doesn’t revolve around me), so I’m gutted that’s all been delayed. My yearly subscription will be over before they release wandavison at this rate
Anyway, back on topic. I really like Star Wars because of the whole world it’s built. I like what they’re doing now it’s the mandolarian and stuff, there’s a whole galaxy worth of stories that can be told in this world. They did it before with books and things, it’s never just been about the 3 (and then 6, and then 9+) movies. It’s the tv series, the books, the games (lived knights of the old republic, lived the story as much as anything) and all those other stories that you can tell.

Like the sound of that. Just finished The Mandalorian which I loved and saw he directed at least one episode, plus was the voice of the IG assassin. I also loved Jo Jo Rabbit which he was in and directed. Thor Ragnorak was great too.

If you're in the Derby area, you can self-refer to Trent PTS (as in - you don't need to see the GP at all)
    https://www.trentpts.co.uk/self-referral
They are only doing phone and video sessions at the moment, but it still works, and is less awkward I find than being in the room with a stranger
I've had a couple of CBT sessions and it's really helping - even though I couldn't have been more cynical up front. To be honest, it's less about "unloading crap" and more of them giving you practical theoretical lessons about CBT and how the mind works.
For me it the principle seems as bit like one of those things you just do on autopilot without thinking, but the second you start to think about it in detail, you can't do it any more.

To add to @Tyler Durden’s point, and I can only speak personally, but I found even just reading about CBT a really useful step in the right direction. It mainly helped to recognise cycles of negative thought and why they occurred.

Again everyone is different and I don’t want to be blasé and say ‘just read a book’ when some people will need to talk to someone, but learning was a small change that helped me see what was wrong very clearly and made a big difference going forward.

    Appreciate it mate.
There's people worse off than me and I don't need to tell you that.
Reckon I've lived with massive lows and contemplated the horrible way out a few times over the years. But I recognise what's going on and just plod on.
Want to do something about it now. I didn't post in here to complain or anything I just wasn't sure what the next step is
And for saying mental health is so out in the open and there's encouragement to talk about it, I'm not sure if there's enough info out there on who to talk to and how.
I mean I want guidance on how to be the good side of myself I don't want to moan in someone's ear every week.
Thanks to this forum, again, I've had sound advice.
    Everyone should be on dcfcfans!
