I think we probably need to knock this one on the head and accept that he won't be taking a 70% pay cut to stay here. He can play in a far nicer league on actual grass for say 20% less in wages and keep his knees. At 28 he has another couple of years at a high earning rate.

That's two blokes in there mid thirties- one who's basically been injured constantly bar a couple of months for a year and a young lad who is also constantly injured.  I'd take McGoldrick but we need two strikers of a decent fitness and one needs to be able to score some goals fairly regular and not just link up which is his game.   Wage wise this really needs to a priority as it's likely to be the most expensive bit of any rebuild.  Can see CKR being sacrificed to free wages to be honest.  We need some pace up top and have done for 3 years.

Ah Ipswich.  Seen a few of them have a moan about us .  There wage bill must huge. Aluko, Carroll and Edmundson for starters who they gave more in wages than the 4.5 k we could offer .
