Oh I agree.  No someone who supports Villa and that season they got unfathomable points after Christmas and rallied for 3-4 games but were absolute turd according to him. Sheff Utd had 2, yes 2 points going into Christmas. The killer for us that year was a narrow lose to Boro, last minute goal conceded at Newcastle and absolute robbery in a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in 3 games in December .  After that they gave up.  Did hear Michael Johnson say that Jewell started making them train twice daily come the January and by the weekend they had nowt in the tank despite being not good enough anyway.  That guy hates Paul Jewell

Can't have that many chances and not finish at least 3.  Collins played well but a bloke with 13 years football in his legs can't do that for more than an hour so need to think about that one.  We are going to struggle at corners without more height.  Sometimes a manager needs to accept he's made an error like Rosenior did switching wide men, they were dead in the water to that point and we should have changed back immediately. Barkhuisen is not a natural winger. Smith and Bird are too similar as players and we need more energy in there. That should have been a win by at least 3 goals. The strikers in this league are very average, so if we get 2 in any game we win.   
 
 

He was on loan when his confidence was high .  20 appearances for Liverpool the year before , new contract , Captain of England u21's.  When we signed him permanent - two failed loans with hardly a game at the arse end of the prem and a season of sauntering in the Austrian league.
 

I think he'll likely be gone in the next 3 weeks but definitely gone if we tell him he's a full back for the season.

I remember reading a story re Ron Webster think it was, about his time playing in America.  Noted that one of the players for New York wasn't getting touched and he totally clobbered him.  What he didn't know was this lad was getting picked as he was crap but was some mafia dons son.  Hence the kid gloves every time he got the ball till Belpers finest arrived.   Story was in one of these games I remember books
