sage reacted to Gaspode in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
In what way? Kirchner is one of several interested parties - the only thing that makes him stand out is that he’s been very vocal whereas the others have kept quiet. I’ve said previously that he may end up looking a bit of a plum if he doesn’t get the club, but it’s been his decision to shout about things….

Masks make transmission less likely and give you some protection too from getting covid. This isn't an opinion, it's a scientific fact.

Absolutely fuming about this. You have no right to make such appalling accusations. even in jest.
You would have Westmalle Dubbel with Fromage de Herve.

I think for the moment it's sensible to try and restrict the virus where possible especially in light of the reality that we're not yet totally sure of its effects. If it's shown to be a very mild variant that the booster can deal with these restrictions won't be in place for that long and if it's the case that this is more serious than we'd like it to be then this is the beginning of stopping the spread. Either way it's likely to be doing the correct thing without having to resort to more serious measures later.
I do think more enforcement around the wearing of masks is necessary. I travel 3 days a week on the train and only once have I seen any form of mask enforcement in England. I was in Edinburgh last weekend and the return train was handing out masks for those who didn't have any and encouraging those who did to put them on. Mask wearing is such a simple thing to be doing and it does have a substantial effect on trains and other areas in minimising the spread.

I'm always hosting parties for 50 people in my house, then denying it, then having an inquiry to see if it happened.

Don't know if I'm more annoyed about England's batting or BT's coverage. It is absolutely shocking, don't bother buying the rights if you're not going to send commentators. They'd be better doing a deal with BBC and using their commentary than having the Aussies. First and last time I'll be staying up and feeling this knackered at work

Is that true?
Or are people really saying 'trust the governments scientific team and people who are apolitical who advise the government?'
I'm sure you know that they are two completely different things, but I was wondering.
I can trust SAGE or any leading expert without it impacting whether I trust the government in general.

If I could effing swear on here without it being deleted I would, My Mother passed last April from Covid, We were not allowed to see her as she was in a nursing home, I have her death certificate as proof, These effing barstewards are filth, We've been hog tied for 2 years, Lost jobs, Masked up, Not being able to see friends and family, And yet these ass holes think they're better than us, I'm not a happy man, Not happy at all, The Torys are now on life support especially after the Paterson debacle, I despise them.

Perhaps a more sensible response might be vote them out of government whilst still ensuring we protect the relatively small numbers of individuals who remain at risk this winter?
