There’s a difference between “being outbid” and choosing to pay up to a certain amount that the club believes the player is worth. Not saying I agree with it, but there’s every chance the club has made what it believes is a fair offer and Sibley feels he’s worth more so is looking elsewhere, rather than that Rotherham are able to pay more than we can.
IF he is leaving it’s a massive shame either way.

Been told Sibley is looking unlikely, apparently wants a pay rise. Heard Rotherham is where he could be off to

Not sure what you’re trying to say with the title.
I think you’re just saying our budget has gone from the top to perhaps the middle. Whilst that’s true, I’m not sure I’d use the word “restricted” as that’s misleading.

Pretty gutted about this, the only player that has left from the retained list that I would have definitely kept. Wages, wanted to join a new club or falling out with manager, probably will never know.

Joe came to us without a regular first team spot, probably on a modest wage, made the Number One shirt his own and won this season's Golden Glove for League One.
He will be in demand, quite a change for a player who two seasons ago wasn't getting game time.
His stock has never been higher and it's a short career (especially for someone breaking through relatively late). He will be maximising that for the future of his family.
I enjoyed his time here at Derby, he was quite a character, especially when in front of us away fans. I wish him all the best.

Only one of the departures who I’m really disappointed about. He’s been a cracking keeper and shame another club will benefit. Oh well. It happens.

We battered Leeds second half with a diamond in the second half in the playoff semi. Johnson at the back, Wilson and Mount in the middle and Lawrence at the tip. We played with Bennett and Marriott up front and it worked so well.
Lamps decided to ditch that to play Huddlestone and Johnson as two DM's in the final, which was even more of a bad decision to me than not starting Marriott that day. I think he must have forgotten that formation and personnel when he went on the p*** with the team that night or when Chelsea came sniffing for him.

Steve McClaren's decision not to recall Craig Bryson to the starting line up at Wembley was ultimately why we lost the 2014 play-off final.

Another mystifying decision by a Championship owner. Accept that Hull did invest in the squad/brought in some big money loans but its hardly like they were blowing the rest of the division out of the water. Rosenior was nominated for Championship manager of the season & they finished a mere 3 points outside the playoffs - a damn sight better than the position he found them in. What makes it worse is that their owner gave Rosenior a new 3 year contract at Christmas - an expensive decision to end early & one I presume has been pre-empted by a bigger name showing interest in the job.
Derby might not be able to compete with some teams in this division financially but we do have the precious commodity of stability & common sense behind the scenes. Some of the decision making at clubs like Birmingham, Watford, Sunderland & now Hull smack of the incoherent kneejerk reactions so beloved of our previous owner & inevitably end in poorer results & decline.
I wish Liam well, a good coach & a good man. He needs to find a Championship gig at a club prepared to take a long term view. I suspect Hull will finish significantly below 7th next term.

Before the season started I would never had picked Hull for top 6 so to get 7th and just miss out is progress
Rosenior is a good coach for reasons I’ve  mentioned before and think Rooney was lucky to have him
Rosenior will get another chance and I for one hope he does well ….stuck by us and conducted himself very well even when we let him go …wish him all the best

What a job the academy staff have done to keep us performing at such high levels, despite being torn apart over the last 3 or 4 seasons.
I know Paul Warne and his management team have done a great job, but I think its being matched by the academy management team.
Clowse must be a very happy boy.

Anyone one else think of the 2019 POF every time they see Villa and where they are? Where would be be now if we'd won that game? I wonder if they even think about it at all.

I don’t know that their presence on the vegas trip should be a direct indicator of their futures. Hourihane, Collins, Sibley, Thompson, Smith, Bird, Adams are all there and as it stands aren’t going to be Derby players next year.

    From what I can see Waghorn, Ward, Wildsmith, Forsyth, Loach, Fornah, John-Jules, Nyambe and Barkhuizen are missing from this group shot that was shared;

Top row L-R; Cashin, Bradley, Elder, Wilson, Collins, CBT, Smith, Nelson, NML.
Bottom row L-R; Washington, Vickers, Sibley, Hourihane, Bird, Thommo, Adams.

Give the guy a chance, he was not fit, and took a while to settle in! We have seen a little of what he can do, and I'm sure with a full pre season he will be an asset next season.
Any chance to have a dig with some people...

I’d highly suspect for that reason alone, he must’ve looked at their remaining fixtures and thought I can pick enough points up here! Take the plaudits etc.
Reckon he underestimated how screwed those players were with all the changes.
