If it was on Saturday like the papers are suggesting hopefully it gives us a chance to get rid of him for free. 
Most of the players are more mature than him. Can only imagine what players like Curtis Davies are thinking of their boss - and I assume they'd be more likely to take offers from other clubs following this.

I know, but at least 3 will be taken up by CBs given that we have none. Leaving one or two spaces depending on who you ask. Wasting one on a central midfielder when we only have one senior striker makes little sense in my opinion.

I'm hoping us as fans, and the management and players, turn this whole situation into an "Us against the world" situation. We'll be celebrating vital points to keep us afloat like we were celebrating wins to edge us into the play offs a few seasons ago. It could be an exciting season, albeit one devoid of much quality. 

We do have a lot of midfielders, but there either defensive mids or attacking mids. We don't have anyone who links defence and attack which was a big problem for us last season. Having said that, if we can only sign 4 players then other positions would still be a priority unfortunately. 

Central midfield is one of the few positions we aren't lacking numbers in. This makes very little sense unless we are offloading some of the youngsters. CB and ST essential. 

I somewhat agree but as seen vs Man U, Morrison can deputise in the forward roles. Having Jozwiak, Lawrence, Knight, Sibley, Ebosele as the only players who can play out wide and CKR and Stretton as the only strikers leaves us horrendously light imo (especially as some of those wingers aren't even natural wide men). At least Morrison gives us the freedom to play Lawrence more centrally as back up to CKR, but I admit its desperate times. 
We simply have to sign 3 centrebacks, we can't get through an entire season with just two. That leaves one place according to the DET, and I think that has to be a forward. 
BUT, we are lacking elsewhere as you say. The more I think about it, the more it seems like we're going to have to move some of the youngsters on if we are to build any semblance of a competitive squad. 

4 really isn't going to be enough, is it. 
We need to move some people on. Evident from this that we have an abundance of midfielders so, as sad as it is, some of those youngsters need to make way if we are to build a competitive team. Mentioned in another thread that Forsyth too could make way as there's another young left back behind Buchanan, and Buchanan appears (and should be imo) first choice. 
My 4 would actually be Wisdom, Davies, Jagielka, Morrison. 
Morrison, Sibley, Knight and Ebosele can all play in forward positions, but that would leave CKR and Stretton as the only natural centre-forwards. Think we'd need at least 1 more centre-forward (Baldock or otherwise). 

He's a far better option than Baldock. Get him in for 6 months and by January hopefully we're in the clear to sign who we want and extend his loan. If not then we go back to the bargain bin for a free but at least we would have had Delap for the first half of the season. 
We possibly have some goodwill with City after the Carson loans, although competing teams will be able to offer and loan fee and we won't. 

I could barely tell you a single thing that happened last season tbf. Usually if you give me a game from the previous season there's a good chance I could tell you the score. But last season? Nothing.
I think a lot of it is down to watching it on my laptop on my own and being nowhere near as invested as I would usually be. Thank goodness that's changing soon.
