GB SPORTS got a reaction from RedSox in The Administration Thread
Tomorrow will be the day the ELF are told Tuesday will be the day they say the PB is unacceptable to them!!

GB SPORTS reacted to May Contain Nuts in The Administration Thread
They wanted that done last season, with us starting this season in League One with the points deducted.
I don't think one relegation is enough for them tbh, and the talk (however loosely based in reality, it hasn't come out of nowhere) of letting us start again in League Two shows where they want us IMO.

At least some sensible posts amongst the last 20hrs. The wording from Monday's mtg never said it would be announced, just interpretation, surprised it took 3 days for the penny to drop with the journalists, they are normally so good at usage of vocabulary to sensationalise things and report without actually having 'facts' to back up a story.
Anyway, what difference does another week make in the grand scheme of things?
Enjoy the international games as a distraction and count yourself lucky you don't live close to Russia

More chance of the Driscoll Brothers being announced as PB.

Talks about Derby 14:15-24.45. Interesting listen.
"It's the biggest regret of my career, that I did not get that club promoted."
I like Frank, he's a man with a lot of integrity. He did not 'throw' the final although I think it was pretty clear he would be going to Chelsea. I don't really understand why some people have a problem with Lampard, we had a great season with him. I don't blame him one bit for leaving, he's a club legend at Chelsea.

Almost 4 years of punishments in one form or another, simply because Gibson felt we over-valued the stadium. The embargoes being 04/05/18-03/07/18, 06/03/19-11/07/19 and early 2020-present. The most damaging issue for the club was the charge itself, which lasted from January 2020 through to November 2021. Mel was trying to sell the club, but the charge resulted in any possible takeover collapsing, and also scared other potential bidders from coming to the table.
The EFL have followed the rule book since Parry came in. Unfortunately, the entire situation needed someone to take a pragmatic approach. An approach Parry's predecessor took time and time again, as evidenced by actively helping other clubs pass P&S by telling them about the stadium 'loophole' (first identified by us).

Dawkins was decent on a low fee/wage.
Crazy to put him on a list with Josefzoon, Anya and Blackman.

I’d take div 1 and a 15 point penalty if it meant we could sign up the layers that are willing to stay now relegation is all but guaranteed.
Retaining the majority of those players that are out of contract is worth more than 15 points.

GB SPORTS reacted to uttoxram75 in I’ve enough of football.
Old people are fed up with football, its always the same. When I was a kid my dads generation were moaning about greedy footballers with long hair like George Best. The old players like Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney etc were working class lads who played for the love of the game according to them and it was true, but the world changed and footballers became famous and rich.
Nowt changes, old buggers like us will moan and say their done with it but thats always been the case. Young uns will take over and take up the challenge.
There is a huge young, vibrant fanbase in Derby right now and they will keep this club going like us lot did back int he 1980's.
Get involved, get angry, put pressure on Quantuma and the EFL, keep fighting.
Come on you fecking big beautiful Rams.

Great Post DCFC Kicks
I just wanted to highlight and say that Shearer is a sycophant a populist to the armchair fan, He'll say what he belives the viewers want to see/hear, The BBC will give him a platform, Yet we pay out TV lisence for this shyte privilage, I no longer watch MOTD, I don't need pundits telling me in great detail what is clear to see on your TV screen, Saudi Arabia executed 81 people last week, The Manager was crtisized for his being paid by a murderous state, He was very uncomfortable trying to fend off questions, This will continue, You've highlighted those who have super wealth by their murky deeds, And yet there are millions upon millions who aren't bothered one iota as long as their team are winning/surviving

Been on this forum a long time. Never once have I felt that there was any influence on my views from yourself or others here. I find it somewhat disrespectful to even imply such a thing.
You have acted on good faith and been severely let down, we as a fan base need to stick together not try and score cheap points.

@David I can only speak for myself, but being a Derby fan honestly wouldn't quite the same without this place. You only have to look at the forums other clubs have, to realise how lucky we are that you are willing to put the effort and resources into keeping it running so well. As far as I'm concerned, anybody questioning your motives can just GFTO.
And I say that as someone who has posted *plenty* of messages critical of Mel, which have all (to my knowledge anyway) been allowed to stay up on here.

He holds the belief that I was paid off to protect Mel.
These are accusations I have defended privately, yet they are going public now and when forum members may see it I just felt I need to reply.
This situation is hurting me more than anyone, I am also owed a lot of money ahead of the wedding as well and it's just frustrating that some fans are using this as a told you so.

But apart from that, what has Mel ever done for Derby County?
Also:
He wasn’t the Messiah. He was a very naughty boy.

In my opinion, the only attractive thing about being a Phoenix club would be the opposite.
It would give us a chance to be a truly fan owned club, not beholden to the whim and whimsy of a passing businessman, but a truly fan driven project, that spent what it earned and not a penny more.
If that model could only take us so far, and I suspect at this moment it would only be an occasional flirtation with the Championship, so be it.
It would be our club again, for the first time in many decades.
Our success would depend on our engagement of both the local community, and pulling in fans from farther afield looking for something different in the cesspit of football generally.
We have a fanatical local fanbase, a fading but still resonant history, a reasonable ground if it can be reunited with the team that currently play in it!
We shouldn't be looking at becoming a Mike Ashley's Newcastle pt II, we should be aiming for an English version of St Pauli.

I can remember Chelsea getting gates of 10,000 or so and being one of the worst clubs in London. We were a much bigger club than them, and most others in the country for a number of years. At least I was there for the trophies and 35,000 average attendances. Being a sad old bar steward comes in handy sometimes.

Nothings changed - we still need at least two more wins than Reading. We now have a more optimistic set of fixtures coming up.
More twists and turns and highs and lows to come yet folks - ‘til the end.

Let's hope the players are a little stronger willed than some on here! Now is not the time to be giving up!

Technically that's tri-dimensional chess. I'm no expert though, as I'm more of a dabo man myself.
I have to admit that I didn't know that 3d chess was a real thing. I searched with increasing horror this morning as I uncovered all the ridiculous ways people have attempted to butcher the game of chess. It's the same feeling I get when someone says the cricket is on and it turns out to be The Hundred.
