That’s the bit that get’s lost with those picking negatives; not only that, how many, if any will manage to score 4?!
Yes there were flaws, a young lad in Rooney was in the wrong position a couple of times, Cashin possibly atoned for his part in the goal but that Boro line up, if they stay fit, will cause a lot of teams issues; particularly at London road.
Yet Warne openly stated he tweaks midfield, we go and clinical bulldozer 4 goals, it was an excellent counter attacking, away performance, epitomised by Waghorn. He’ll score more than Didzy, I’d wager that now.

Your post just smacks of the goalpost moving that is very common on here. “Warne can’t beat good teams… no, not that good team, a different one… no, not just one, more than one”… we all know that will be coming on this forum.

If at Christmas we managed to collect fewer or as many points as six other teams in a league where maybe 1-3 teams contain something that even resembles elements of quality, it is surprisingly weak, I must say. Last year, for example, there were basically three teams that could play football. The remaining teams were at a level that could be mistaken for semi-amateur. We no longer compete with these three  teams because they have already advanced. We should be able, given the conditions, to deliver a performance that a maximum of 5 teams can match until Christmas. Otherwise, it means that we have probably been a team that kicks long and runs a lot but to limited benefit. That for me is not good enough and something would need to change. For the record I think Warne will get us to minimum top 6 this year.
So to answer the question, 7th is not a top 6 placement 😅
If, on the other hand, we are playing good football and are heading in the right direction but are 7th 3p from first place then I take back all of the above and firmly claim the opposite.

I'm not trying to call anyone thick and i apologise if you took it that way but to me it seems fans are getting personal with Warne and I think that is out of order,by all means criticise his tactics etc but he's had his personality/individualism since he was born so why should he change that side of himself to nullify a few disgruntled fans.

Let's sack him get a new manager in and say he's got a free hit for a year because he's inherited Warne's shlt then if he's not upto scratch after 3 games repeat again and again.

I reckon, if you perceive the comment as “trying to take the p out of NML” you’re trying too hard to find ways to criticise what he says. I believe he just plucked NML’s name randomly as an experienced player nearing the end of his career who may be of interest to the Saudi teams. Pretty much proving the point that for the right offer, any player could be sold.
 
There are probably plenty of things I’d take issue with. This wasn’t one of them. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Really? I thought Collins put himself about well when he came on and Sibbers didn't contribute negatively at all let alone to an extent where he warranted a three.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised. Their respective coaches think they're good enough for the matchday squad, which they clearly didn't last year and you do see some kids improve exponentially for some experience of senior football. Both have a deal of promise based on what we saw IMO, though both obviously still raw talents rather than more finished articles. I think Osula just needed game time, to be honest. A couple of quiet games and he was done. 

Osula and dobbin playing in the prem hope they do well but can't believe they've improved that much in a few months
