Not even slightly worrying - they have an obligation to any potential creditors to find the very best deal for the club. If they limit their search to the few parties that have already been in touch, they'd be wide open to a charge of dereliction of duty.....

Spondon Asda is back to normal it seemed this afternoon. Queued up as usual and had no issues. The panic buyers have seemed to have sorted themselves out now.

I wasn't suggesting that there aren't a huge number of people panicking and buying fuel they don't actually need - but social media and the news channels are full of pictures of fuel queues and also people claiming they are more deserving than others (nurses, taxi drivers, etc) and stirring up emotions - I've also seen people posting photographs of people in front of them in queues and slating those people publicly whilst having absolutely no idea what that person's circumstances were. To consider the original post - maybe the person putting £10 worth was just joining the herd; or maybe he needed that extra couple of gallons to complete a long journey; or maybe he could only afford £10.....

It's a pain - but maybe that person in front needed that extra £10 worth to make sure they could complete a round trip without neeeding to re-fill? You don't know that person's circumstances and they didn't know yours, so just maybe we need to target our anger at the media who've had a lovely time creating and then stirring up a crisis and then spent days reporting on it. Without the headlines and TV/radio reporting, most people wouldn't have even noticed there were supply issues....

Vegetarian foods disguised as meat products do my head in.  They're bought by veggies who don't want meat, so why pretend they're meat. It's all a marketing lie.
Vegetarian Express - "THIS Isn't Chicken Pieces" - no you're right, they're soyabean in breadcrumb.  Call them that.
Birdseye "Chicken Free Nuggets" - ah, just what I was looking for - chicken free nuggets.
M&S Plant Kitchen "No Beef Burger" - and there was me looking for either No Chicken or No Lamb burgers.  I'll have to make do with No Beef ones instead.
Richmond "Meat Free Sausages" - they're made of soya protein and other veggie bits, so call 'em what they are, vegetarian tubes. They're not sausages.  A sausage is defined as: an item of food in the form of a cylindrical length of minced pork or other meat encased in a skin, typically sold raw to be grilled or fried before eating.

Are you on such an anti-Morris roll that your blinkers stop you seeing the bigger picture?
I'm not blaming the EFL - I'm stating that by not giving us the additional 'monet to save clubs from Covid' funding (while giving it to all of the other Championship clubs), we've been made into an exceptional case - and that provides a solid argument against the 12-point deduction for going into admin.
A lot of people on here have been saying we can't claim exceptional reasons to avoid the 12 point deduction as other clubs have been able to survive - but by denying us the funding (and there's a very good case to say they were right to do that due to the P&S issues we were having) and then also giving us a points deduction when that decision tipped us over the edge into administration, they've effectively penalised us twice (and that's ignoring the embargo shenanigans preventing us from extending contracts and therefore losing players on the cheap).
Whoever ultimately is to blame (and neither Mel or the EFL are blameless) the funding decision was a contrbutory factor in pushing us over the edge - that should at least lessen the points punishment if not negate it completely....

No - Mel's actions prevented us from meeting the criteria laid down in the rules.
However, the reason we didn't get the funding is a a moot point - the fact is that ALL of the other Championship clubs were provided with over £8M to help them deal with the effects of Covid. We didn't get that funding which made the impact of the pandemic far greater on us and therefore gives us a valid case to argue against the 12-point deduction.....

Ironically the biggest point in our favour is that EFL rules prevented us from accessing the additional £8M+ funding that was provided to every other Championship club - thereby making the impact of Covid far greater on us than anyone else. A pretty strong argument and one the EFL would find difficult to provide a valid arguement against....
