europia reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town to sue Derby County
Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.

Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.

*Has anything ever gone wrong with your football club? Not won enough points? Let in last minute winners to players who can’t even drive and park their car properly? Why not sue Derby County? Contact Gibson and Parry Solicitors for your claim form.

Just watched the re run of Shinnies goal. That was  quality. Lawrence waited to give the right ball to Colin who was so so calm, again, waiting for Byrnes run then delivering a cute weighted pass, good first time cross. Ball was up but dropping so so slowly but Shinnie was composed enough wait and then shoot away from where to goalie was naturally going and where a snap shot was likely to go. That takes a steady hand in these poo strewn days. Nice one Shinnie. Well played team.

It's a shame that the great rep of our away supporters gets tarnished by brain dead morons..no doubt similar morons involved from Coventry as well..

Yes, very slippery character. Wouldn't want to see him back at the club. Problem is, with the clubs dire situation, in all likelihood we are going to have to put up with some dubious characters running the club. Little prospect of ethical attracting ownership, unfortunately.

The reality may well be that as legal costs are rarely awarded against unsuccessful claimants then it would have been cheaper for Morris to settle out of court.
Or that he was going to lose anyway so there was no mileage in then adding his own legal fees to the compensation that he would have had to pay out to Rush.
He may also have wanted to avoid unsavoury behaviour on his part being regurgitated in the press during the reporting of the case.
Whatever option you choose it doesn't reflect well on Morris.

The apparent feigned injury would certainly have annoyed Rooney but, if it is true that Marshall refused to go along with the wage deferral last year and was then "ill" or "injured" so didn't play I am happy that Rooney is taking a principled stand. Don't understand why Marshall didn't leave in the window just gone because his chances of playing for Scotland are zero if he is not getting game time somewhere.
He also made more mistakes than I would have expected of a seasoned international so we are left with Roos or Allsop, neither are great but neither are mugs. Would be nice to have an England international (WBA) but they have parachute cash and obviously we don't

Personally, I would have kept the same settled team and perhaps added Stearman into the back line in the last 15 minutes. As little disruption as possible. We weren’t chasing the game.
Do Luton, Huddersfield and Coventry have better goalscorers than us really? Or is it that their teams function better as a unit and their coaching and tactics are better at getting more out of what they have?
Now I am not saying that we have top shelf options, but it’s not as if we have plucked Lawrence, Jozwiak, Baldock and Kazim from Dog and Deer FC either.
These free scoring teams you mention are almost exclusively reliant on unproven players coming up from League 1 and 2 and in some cases lower. Many players we would overlook and turn our nose up at if given the chance.
The only notable exception I can see is Coventry’s multi million signing of Gyokeres from Brighton.
Better players needed v better coach needed? It’s the eternal debate. I think at this moment all the evidence points to better coaching being needed which would lead to better decision making on the pitch. But let’s agree to disagree.

No way is Rooney going to Newcastle. They're not going to be looking around the second division for a manager but looking at the very top tier with the kind of budget they have.

That's nothing to do with my like / dislike of Newcastle Utd, just an observation on how these filthy rich new owners, connected to a regime with a disgraceful record on human rights, have passed a fit and proper persons test. Just my opinion by the way.

    And? So what?
In the same season which Newcastle averaged just over 35k while finishing 13th in the PL Sunderland, their only real rival and a fanbase who've genuinely suffered,  averaged just over 30k finishing 8th in League One.
Newcastle are now the scummiest club in the land and should be reviled by all. The notion that they've somehow regained their identity by signing up to become the ultimate example of sportswashing is laughable in the extreme.

Can't say I'm particularly keen to refer to people who celebrate being bankrolled and controlled by a regime known for state sponsored beheadings as 'bretheren' tbh.
I mean if their own fans want to big them up, OK I guess it's understandable, but fans of other clubs sucking up to them and making out they're bigger than they are? No thanks.
