I don't really know why we're bothering with this. We deserve everything we get, we've just lost 2 must win games against teams with nothing to play for.

Doesnt it make you cross that just an odd point here and there that we have seemed to give away far too easily especially against those around us and we would be relaxed and safe?   Please please Derby players and management can you just step up at this key time and put a bit if a run together. COYR play with a bit of pride and spirit for the last few games

I think we'll be in a better position if we're not relegated, but if we are we'll deserve to be and will need to build from there.

Last night was hard to stomach but I've woken this morning with a whiff of positivity.
This is still very much game on; Rotherham have it all to do and we still have four games to make this happen.
Me may be down but certainly not out.

Really worried now. Preston game is the most important game we will play in more than a decade. Forget about matches involving playoffs etc.. We have to WIN! Not draw not lose. Win we still have a chance. Anything else you can forget playing the red dogs for the next few years. For the first time in many years I feel we have blown it. However, whichever league we are in I will support this club, whoever is owning, managing or playing next season. Must be mad but since a boy THIS is MY TEAM and I will support it through thick and thin. COYR

We didn't even play that bad, we created enough chances just conceded sloppy goals. It's not like Blackburn were cutting us open all game

Sorry, I meant what he was saying sounded more reasonable, with the context added.
Not necessarily what his plans are. I am not altogether too sure what anyone's motives are of buying a football club if they're not what he is talking about, other than if you're a genuine local fan like Mel who happens to be loaded.
How many of those are there out there? Very few, I would imagine. And even if you were, seeing how Mel is thought about by a significant section of our supporter base, you'd probably be steering well clear?
Unfortunately with the money in the game being as skewed towards the Premier League as it is these days, these sort of occurrences are more the norm, unless you want to be a plucky community club languishing in Division Two.
Ambition and ethics don't seem to be good bedfellows in the modern game.

It’s as much in our hands as it is for everyone else. Wycombe and Wednesday are all but down but if we beat Blackburn even they will start to get a sweat on.

50 points is always touted as the safety mark and I think that’ll be the case this season with maybe 49 just about doing the job. This said if we can’t muster 6 points from our last 5 matches we deserve to go down.

A draw would be ideal tonight but at this stage I think it’s what we do on the pitch more than what others do which will determine our fate.

I go from feeling confident we will stay up to then feeling like we will go down.
I feel confident because despite our form we have played pretty well in our last 3 games. Also, Rotherham & Sheff W have done as bad as us over the last 10 games so it would take a huge turnaround from both of them compared to what they have produced so far this season as well as us to continue to be poor.
But then I think we have a few injuries, hopefully Clarke, Byrne & Waggy are back for the Blackburn/Preston games. I also think Rotherham have 4 home games in a row so will that work in their favour or will the quick turnaround in games be too much for them? Sheff W have 3 home games in a row too. Plus both Roth & Sheff W have Boro to play so we know we can never rely on them for any favours! Also, we're Derby County so we can never make life easy for ourselves.
I really hope these midweek games go in our favour and we can pick up some points from our next 2 games. Come next midweek when Rotherham have played their 4 home games in a row, 2 of which are games in hand and also 2 of which are vs teams around us in Cov & Birmingham we will have a much clearer picture of whats needed with us having 3 games left. Lets hope we can match or better both Roth (4) & Sheff W (3) points total in less (2) games.
Cmon Derby, lets get some points these next 2 games and try and get ourselves safe so we can start to look forward to the takeover, the summer & next season. Less than a month left, 2 more wins thats all we realistically need, its not beyond this team so come on!!!

A 29-year-old Spanish businessman has acquired Derby County from the English second division. He is a former professional boxer who left his career and has now launched himself into the challenge of football: "A very interesting opportunity has arisen for us, I am moved by challenges and I said why not. I want to make Derby County a success. I have some partners in a holding company and we decided to buy together. I think the response from the fans has been very good, and I have noticed good words. In the end their luck will be mine. I would have understood that they doubted me because of my age but they have not been like this ". He tells us about the competition, he believes that economically it is far above Spain and to prove it he gives us some figures: "The second Spanish division cannot be compared economically with the English one. Any team that rises from the Championship to the Premier has 170 million euros. euros. That is the objective. Second, we received about forty million euros in television rights " The coach is the mythical Wayne Rooney and Erik says that he has been very surprised by his great predisposition and his sense of humour. As for signings, he says he would like to take his countryman Fernando Llorente.
Contrary to saying nothing till the deal was finalised Alonso now intends to take a full page ad in every paper in every geographical location on the planet.
Alright the last bit was added.

Totally agree. Whoever's in charge will always be 'shot at' by some. Mel has always had his heart in the right place - he loves our club - but has made mistakes. The trouble is, on here, we'd all pick out different mistakes. To be fair patience must be difficult - it's a results business after all. Being a glass half-full kind of person I'm going to wait and see what happens.
