Really hope this one is still only. Only deal that really got me interested today.
-
Have a good time Jahmal, show us what you can do! Hopefully he does well down there, then we might be able to get him a full season League One loan next season.
-
Surprised he’s dropped to that level, thought he’d been one of Burton’s better players.
-
At his age, he might have to drop back down to that level. No surprise it’s Clough in for him!
-
Sounds like this one is happening too, excellent news, was worried we weren’t going to get a CDM. One of the three will have to be permanent though. Maybe this one?
-
Not a surprise now Gregory is joining, we’re probably covered up front with him, Kazim-Richards and Stretton. Not really seen enough of him to know what level he’s currently at, so tough to know whether letting him go is a good call or not.

He’s left footed. Which is something we need in my opinion. We’ve been playing Knight and Jozwiak on the wings lately and Lawrence would be in ahead of Waghorn I reckon. 3 right footed players as current top choices. Ibe is also right footed, so we need someone who can balance that out and be better than Waghorn.
Fair point, but given we play inverted wingers generally it’s probably not that important. Think we’ll have better depth with Lawrence and Ibe available, but I do think Roberts is probably better than all of our current options, so he’s an upgrade in that sense. Certainly one I’m pleased with.

Not sure another right winger is really a massive priority to be honest, we’ve already got Waghorn, Mitchell-Lawson and Ibe back as well.
Does look like this one is happening though, and to be fair, I’m delighted with it on paper. Roberts is a top class talent at this level going forward, and has potential to get loads better still if he improves his all round game. Surprised Boro haven’t used him more.
-
Glad there’s nothing in this one. A striker from Rotherham with his goal record doesn’t exactly strike me as a player who’s good enough for where we need to go. Not really done anything at a decent level before now.
-
Pleasantly surprised if we’re getting big money for players that young. Good business from us if true, will help sort our finances out with no real short term impact.
-
This must be what Nixon was talking about then. U15s are so far away from the first team that this really isn’t anything major in the short term.
-
Be interesting to see what he has to say tomorrow. Suspect Evans could still be one out, even though he’s injured today which may scupper things. Gordon surely the other one. Niasse the one in at a guess? Maybe some takeover news as well...
-
Well if players are turning us down to join Sunderland, things aren’t boding well ?
-
Disappointing that he’s chosen to leave really, don’t think it’s the best thing for his career moving to a big club like Liverpool at his age.
-
Look forward to a few new signings over the weekend then... or not. We’ve seen recently that timescales given by the club are less reliable than the Daily Mail.
-
Doesn’t really matter which formation we play, Sibley is a central midfielder, not a winger. Clearly he’s not getting a look in there at the moment because of the form of Bielik and Shinnie, but that doesn’t mean that will carry on forever. He’s a player with real potential, when you look at his technique and goal threat. Obviously he’s not the finished article yet, especially in terms of decision making, which is why the ever reliable Shinnie is playing over him at the moment.
But I’m sure Louie will get there, and I very much doubt he’s one that we’re actively looking at selling, particularly because he hasn’t even reached peak value yet. We need options like him in the squad. Clearly if a big team comes in for him then we may end up losing him with little choice in the matter, but hopefully we can keep hold of him. Not 100% convinced we will though, I can see lower end Premier League teams looking at him.

Why?
Lot harder to get in their team than ours!
Mind, they seem to be almost as unable to score at the moment as us, so maybe I’m wrong ?
-
Sounds like it’s probably going to be confirmed on Thursday then. Shame we didn’t get to see anything of him really, but good luck to him. He’ll need it at Liverpool.

Given the money Chelsea have spent, they really should be challenging for the title. Mid table isn’t acceptable, so not a surprise whatsoever to see him sacked.
