The difference having a proper striker out there makes. Absolutely massive. Just having someone with a bit of strength who can hold the ball up and bring others into play. It’s been obvious for ages really, God knows why it’s taken this long to get CKR out there from the start.

Fair enough, wasn’t aware they’d done the same. Not sure they promised refunds in September though and then didn’t bother, without any further communication to the fans. Very poor from any club who still haven’t refunded fans.

I'm a little confused. We have a stand named after Gordon Guthrie and various statues and busts for other big names in the clubs history, plus an entrance. Even a restaurant. ?
Long time since we did anything like that though. We had to crowd fund a bust for Reg Harrison. And we’ve left supporters high and dry on their refunds.

Basically, we’re normally crap away and good at home. This season we’re just crap everywhere. Excellent.

Think he’d go with his usual 4-3-3:
Marshall
Byrne Te Weirik Clarke Buchanan
Bielik
Holmes Sibley
Ibe Kazim-Richards Jozwiak
Which is actually fairly similar to my ideal team, though I’d have Waghorn up front, even though he’s not a proper number 9.

We might be looking for a decent league 1 player soon ?
To be fair, a decent league one player would probably be an upgrade on Rooney

Looks to be a decent league one player, but his numbers hardly suggest he’s ready for the step up. Especially after we saw what happened with Jack Marriott.

Fair play to Butterfield, nice early retirement in the sun for him. Maybe he’ll finally crack a smile?

Hilarious decision, but that’s the way things are now. Good to see Everton get a point mind, keeps my bet on them winning the league alive ?

Proper quality player, vastly under appreciated by our fans because of his hefty price tag - which wasn’t exactly Bradley’s fault. Gave everything on the pitch for us, and despite not being massively technically gifted, he always had an impact breaking up play and providing that defensive shield in midfield. Could really do with someone who can do the basics right like him right now, and provide a bit of bite (pun intended), but alas, he’s another one we let go. Shame, what he brings to a team in underrated.
Fair play to him for finding somewhere where he is appreciated, he seems to be performing well there. Might make some fans realise how good a servant he was to us over the years.

Leeds will stay up comfortably playing like this. Bielsa is such a good manager, maximises everything he has at his disposal.
Makes me sick

I’d have said you were insane not too long back... but I’m warming to it. Cocu isn’t getting anywhere near the best out of what he has at his disposal. I think we actually have the personnel now to be a pretty damn good attacking footballing side - We’ve got defenders comfortable on the ball, and the likes of Jozwiak and Ibe are very talented forwards if you play with some pace and energy. Steve McClaren would get the best out of this sort of squad. Cocu’s defensive style of play really isn’t getting the best out of them at the moment.

This Brighton vs Man Utd game has been unbelievable, one of the best games for drama that I’ve seen in a long time
-
Going with Cocu’s preferred 4231, and adding Davis to our current squad as I think we will sign him:
Marshall
Byrne Te Weirik Clarke Forsyth
Bielik Rooney
Ibe Lawrence Jozwiak

Second best after Son?
I was thinking Lewandowski, but we’ll go with it

Harry Kane, take a ducking bow. 4 assists and a goal in one game. Far too good for Spurs. Second best striker in the world.

I tend to judge strikers on their ability to finish. Martin is a really good finisher, no question. Where as finishing is Waghorn's weakness.
True, but there’s more to a striker than just that. Waghorn offers energy and movement where Martin offers more technical passes. Different strengths. Would argue Waghorn’s finishing is only poor one on one, his instinctive finishing is actually pretty good.

He's a better player than Waghorn, most folk would acknowledge that. It just came down to money, which is obviously in short supply at PP.
Dont think there’s too much between them to be fair, but there’s a chasm to Marriott.

It would be funnier if we weren’t about to set a brand new record in the championship
