Which players will this appointment suit best? Cahsin, Knight, Collins immediately spring to mind.

Life must go on. A respectful minute silence before the game and then back to calling the referee a clueless twazock for 90mins.

Lingard gets paid more than most the City players as well. Madness.

I hope no one is getting all misty eyed about Rooney. Just checked out DC United’s results since he took over ?

Quite like Wolves. All my dad's side of the family are Derby fans, and my mom's side are Wolves fans. I have no regrets. ?

Think we played well today. How we haven’t scored I’ll never know. Onwards!

Got my tickets today. Can't bloody wait! Anyone know which pub will Rams fans be in before the match?

Fearing a bit of a reality check for the first game. Gonna go 0-2. Think we’ll have a decent season, but until we get a few more names through the door and the new lads gelling, I think the start of the season could be a little painful.

Besides, if you don’t spend robustly you’re just accepting relegation. Hello Huddersfield, Blackpool, Norwich.. etc
There’s a good chance we’ll be relegated, but even if we are the young players we’re buying have re-sellability.
I’d suggest such matters probably fly over the head of your average League One fan, I’d focus on how you’re going to stay up and progress in the Domino’s trophy or whatever they’ve called it..
Why have you posted nearly 4,000 times on a Derby fan forum?

Bruiser is available on a free. Still only 26 yo. ?

He's got lots of potential, but not a huge loss for us right now. Good in the air and often looked dangerous going forward, but switched off too often in defence and let players get in behind him. Would get caught ball-watching too often when defending crosses, and they'll be plenty of those in League One next year!
As many have said already, he couldn't even nail down a regular starting slot with us, so not gonna be grieving him departing and any money received right now is a bonus. That £400k could easily cover the wages for a decent player bought in on a free.

Jacob Butterfield is on a free. Anyone?
.....anyone?

I always liked it when BBC Radio Derby would play the Athletics theme tune. A trimmed/edited version of that could work in a strange, timeless kinda way.

Don’t know what to think about this. Why would he leave with us on the verge of exiting administration? A lack of belief in the potential new ownership?

Just read the Telegraph article about Ashley’s bid. Sounds too good to be true, so it probably is. Why are these serious bids only appearing now? Why didn’t any of these bids go in before Christmas or during January?

After a complete shower of a season, and things just seem to be getting worse week-by-week, but all this will make our rise back to the top taste even sweeter. Hang in there Rams fans!

So how long - realistically - can someone take over the club if bids go in this week?

It would have to be a loanee from Boro, wouldn't it?
I forgive the young lads in our side, we lost experience in the window with Shinnie & Jagielka.
Yeah, losing Jagielka has been so detrimental to our solidity

Maybe they did, but if I was in the Derby PR/comms team, I'd be asking playing not to give interviews to media so soon after.
