Bit of inexperience shown by Festy and Ebiowei in the lead up to the goal. Young lads will make mistakes sadly.

If we finish the season and stay up by a single point, it will have been a noble sacrifice.

I think our trouble is that our best young players come under the spotlight at an earlier age than Forest's do because we are playing - and beating - the very best academy teams at both under 23 and under 18 levels.
The coaches go back to their clubs and talk about our players to their recruitment teams, whereas they just don't encounter the Forest youngsters very often.
If Forest get a couple of seasons extra to get them onto pro contracts and give them a bit of first team experience, they'll make more out of them.
That's interesting. It sort of begs the question, what's the point of having one of the best Academy's in the country if your best prospects are getting picked off for peanuts. The whole system seems wrong.

I've read online on Twitter (not the most reliable of sources) that we received around 400k for Dylan. I don't think that is too bad all things considering in our situation. At least it's a considerable amount to help with the clubs cash flow in the short term.
Not too bad considering. It's a shame that we are always selling youngsters for peanuts though, just read Forest have rejected £18m for Brennan Johnson! If we hadn't have been so royally shafted by Mel, maybe we would have been getting offers in that range for players like Kaide "The Best 16-year-old in the Country" Gordon.

Will we hear from Mel any time soon I wonder? I'd love to know what he's thinking now he's the most hated man in Derby

• 9 Points for persistent breaches for 2019 – 2020 Accounts.Title winning form needed to survive a 69 point deduction I reckon.

I was thinking that the EFL chant could be easily altered to be:
"Duck the EFL, and duck you too Mel, duck the EFL, and duck you too Mel, duck the EFL"
-
I love the idea. But in the hyper-capitalistic world of football, it would probably get us no closer to being a Premier League club (if that’s the ultimate aim of Derby County)

He will not be able to show his face in Derby ever again after this. Off to the Caribbean and never return you charlatan.

Anyone know where the EFL main office is? I’ve got a flaming paper bag of dog poo to deliver direct to their door.

Respect and huge gratitude to every fan who will be there tomorrow. Let your voices be heard. Duck the EFL and duck Mel as well.

Just watched the highlights on Sky website. That ball from Bird for Jozwiak when he hit the post was ??

I just laughed when that winner went in. Typical Derby.

Difference is they have an owner who is a fan, but more than that he has been very responsible for a long time and clearly knows how to run a football club.
Nail on the head. Mel and Benham both love their respective clubs as much as each other. Only the latter had a long-term sustainable plan that didn’t equate to “let Clement spend whatever the hell he wants, we can’t fail!”
-
Hutchinson also looks an interesting player. Big tall lad, good with his feet, probably the kind of player that Brentford would turn into a proper asset and sell for £5-6m, but he leave us on a free in a season or two. ??

Stretton makes some great runs off the ball. Wonder if he’s got that ice in his veins required to become a regular goalscorer.
-
Thought Watson looked decent. Can see a pass and isn’t afraid to play it.
-
If we can sell him at a profit and get Grosicki in for one season, then it really needs to be considered. Finances are a total mess at the moment, so I don't think we could argue too much if he goes.
-
Thought the interview was very revealing. Showed both what a great guy Curtis is and what a shambles of a club Derby is right now. Sounds like chaos behind the scenes and that was clear in Curtis’ interview, lucky for us he’s a great guy willing to stick at the club despite the mess caused by Mel.

I don't see it. I think he could have stayed up. Unlike us now.
