I think you’re incorrect.
 
I think both the W and M claims are just “claims”  until they are proven or a negotiated settlement is reached (without requiring the case to be proven) - at which point it becomes a liability - and in turn the clubs making such claim and establishing the liability - become a football creditor. 

Wayne Rooney, every time you think he cannot go up any higher in our estimations he goes and absolutely smashes it. I’ve said it so many times but there is genuinely no one else I’d rather have at the club. The man oozes class and commitment.

Today I’ve felt the most optimistic about our future as a club as I have in a long while.
Will be over the moon with whoever takes us over (I really do hope it is Ashley though - I know that might be controversial)
Hope, and believe deep down that there will continue to be Derby County, and I can’t wait for this all to be over with.

I emailed Trevor Birch last night and specifically referenced this paragraph.  Plus the fact the statement said MFC’s claim was over 12 months ago, this case was 15 months ago and yet we weren’t found guilty of breaching FFP until after our accounts were submitted in August last year.  How and on what basis we’re they claiming in the intervening period if we hadn’t actually been found guilty of anything?
I even included the link to the MFC case from October 2021, just in case he had trouble finding it.
