Has your head been in the sand for the last couple of years? People are struggling, (especially) young people don't have these savings - More than ever, people are living pay packet to pay packet so they might be able to find £40 a month for a ST but it's no surprise that many don't have a spare few hundred quid.

They've done the direct debits for years, the pinch on the wallet is even tighter and only going to get worse. For some people having a season ticket (while not a neccessary item) is a big boon on their mental health and wellbeing, mine included so splitting the cost up over a direct debit makes sense for those who may be able to afford but would rather budget more carefully, especially in these times of energy prices, fuel and food skyrocketing.

It's quite a hike to my seat, which I've renewed.
I'm thinking of purchasing an additional under 12's seat half way up the steps, so I can have a rest during the ascent.

It's unusual for a club to have almost a clean sheet when looking at building a squad for the new season. So far, we appear to be going about things in exactly the right way, with some experienced players coming in on one or two year deals.
It makes me feel better about the inevitable departures, or even that we might be comfortable keeping them if that's what they want. The players who remain under contract must surely be encouraged by the quality of signings too.
It seems like we are in control, not the players - and that feels good.
We must give credit to Wayne and particularly Liam because they told us they had a plan for player recruitment and we are watching it come to fruition.

Hi all!
Just wanted to come by and thank you all for this marathon thread which I have spent far too many hours following. Great finish of a Rollercoaster thread (only matched by the legendary George Thorne Thread). 
So happy to be able to keep follow the mighty rams from afar which i have been doing since the late 90's. For me it really dosen't matter which division we play as long the pride and passion is alive & present.
And also big thanks for this forum, it's been great for me since there aren't too many Rams supporters around where i live. You all do a terrific job you mods and posters.

I thought that about the 31 May deadline . Four days off to celebrate. Instead all we got was a party to celebrate that a 96 year old is still breathing.

Got to admit I do take a slight pleasure that we have somehow curveballed almost every regional and national journalist in the country with this saga. Near on every time someone has put themselves above the parapet with a slight bit of info, it’s nearly always been shot down the next day.
They really should’ve learnt by now that nothing is simple with Derby County!

I'm chilled out, The sale will go ahead, Clowes has the stadium, Left a shedload of cash to get by on and we're waiting for paperwork to be signed...no big deal.
I'll wager Q and Clowes are as frustrated as most on here, Well this is what happens when the last owner left a little mess at PP, The mess is going through the legal people who'll sort it in good time...when...I've not a clue, But it'll be sorted.

It’s become that draining even the forum tonight seems a little lacklustre. 
 
Seems odd that none of the journalists have come out with anything of use tonight. Last night they were all crowing that today was the day. Now it’s radio silence. 

For however complex the signing off the last few papers, this is what really, really winds everyone up.
You would think they would learn, but right to the end, true to everything before, they keep missing their deadlines. Communication shrouded by the cloak of NDA’s can be tolerated but I’ve not seen anyone able to force them to state the timelines, it’s THEIR deadlines that are missed!
For a professional outfit, it’s shockingly unprofessional. Hope they never get another sports gig again, can’t see how anyone would want this for any other sporting organisation with a fan base.

Yeah their communication is rubbish, however we don’t have all the facts. They said yesterday they were waiting on things out of their control (ie 3rd parties), could be they were given an idea by these other stakeholders that it would be done today. They work on it all day, it’s looking likely, then the 3rd parties advise they need a bit more time, what can Q, the EFL or Clowes do but tell us there’s a further delay?
As you say, they’ve claimed to have learned their lesson in the past, so why not tell us it’ll be Monday 4th July then surprise us all with the news today/tomorrow or whatever. That’s their biggest failing in this immediate moment, but we don’t know for sure the reasons for the hold up. We can speculate on that, all we can see for sure is that Q and the EFL say things are still in process, not stalled, not failed, ongoing. So there’s hope it’ll still be done until we’re told otherwise.
