This is the tiny one now.

We’ve had Ziggy for just over a year now. He’s the perfect family dog - loves everybody, affectionate and loads of fun. He comes to work with me 4 days a week and is my best mate and shadow.
This is what he does when he needs a fuss and I’m ignoring him:

Another very special shirt that has been rescued and given a full clean and restoration, I’ve got to say I am well pleased with what I’ve done, it had been left to die but now will have a new lease of life, this is the only shirt owned by Derby County believe it or not, it had three inch nails going right through it and had been held in place with rusty industrial staples, full of holes and rust.
i have fully restored it and got it ready for reframing
i am proud to say that it will be going in pride of place in the new captains club at Pride Park.

I dated a girl with a lazy eye at one time. Turns out she was seeing someone else on the side.

Visited this thread quite a bit but first time posting on it.  These are our two - Simba the cat and Ollie the dog.  Simba was a rescue from the RSPCA and we had Ollie as a pup a year ago.

Just to let you know that Jess passed away a few minutes ago. She had gone downhill rapidly today and we took her to the vets. She was surrounded by love as she went

She's breathing heavily at my feet and we're taking her tomorrow afternoon
Her stomach is distended and she's not eating so we're definitely doing the right thing
But right things often aren't easy

Just taken her for her penultimate walk to the top of the road. I know that I am doing the right thing
But this is mourning before mourning at our house
She was a rescue dog which my wife bought,. Having the hound kept my sanity and because she needed running saved my health as I needed to run with her
Having a pet is beautiful, but unless it's a tortoise you are destined for a long good bye

Ours is on the way out. The thin balance between enjoying life and suffering has clearly been crossed.
The vet had said it would be quick and he wasn't wrong. Heart disease
She didn't have breakfast this morning, she's not walking. 
Took her to see my folks for the last time this morning
Had her as a rescue dog eleven years ago so she's done well

I was peacefully doing my ironing about an hour or so ago, by the window, that overlooks a busy Grampian Way in Sinfin. I heard a thud, instinctively looked out of the window to witness a dog running into moving traffic. 
Suffice to say I’ve shed tears a few times since seeing it. The car behind stopped, and the absolute gentleman driving it tried what he could and showed genuine love for the dog he probably didn’t know. 
After he carried it off the road and gently placed it on the lawn beside the road, the owner appeared with the lead in her hand, witnessing her reaction will live with me for a very long time, as will seeing the driver, totally blameless, who hit the dog, but stopped around the corner as his kids were in the car. 
After about ten minutes, the lady owner said goodbye to her dog before collapsing trying to lift the dog wrapped in a blanket, before being pulled away by someone, and the real true gentleman, who i dont know, but admire greatly, gently wrapped the dog a bit more snugly in the blanket and carried it to a car. 
Owner and driver totally inconsolable. A lovely dog gone just like that. ??

I watched the game in Commercial Inn, Inverurie and I bought myself a pint of perroni, sat down next to a bloke with a real parrot on his shoulder!.....I had a look at my pint and it was definitely my first pint of the day......and nobody batted an eyelid to this parrot, big red and green one, looked like he was Man Utd, no blue on him, I think blue is more budgeeregar, anyway there's no joke, no gag coming, this was for real, so I looked up at the big screen and enjoyed the first half, Man Utd leading 1-0.
The bloke and parrot left the pub at half time and the parrot said goodbye on the way out, and the half dozen or so folk sat on the bar stools around the bar turned around on a Sunday afternoon and wished them both a goodbye. I looked at my pint again, did a head shake and carried on as per normal and enjoyed the second half.
Sometimes I wonder why I live in Scotland, I think it's for the entertainment, anyway you couldn't make it up, as for the football, I don't like the Manx, don't like the Spivs, but I'm looking forward to seeing that parrot again!
And if I had one of them modern phones with a camera, I'd have taken a picture, one day I might catch up with the modern world!
