Replaces Luke Jenkinson who left to join Rooney at D.C. United at the beginning of the month.

Andrew3000 reacted to Donnyram in New Head of Performance
It’s focused on individual strength and conditioning, managing training loads and injury prevention based on data from things like the GPS vests that players wear. I’m sure there’s lots more to it but that’s the basics that I have gleaned from my youngest son who is pursuing this as a career. He’s at Ipswich Town Academy at the moment as Lead Academy Physical Performance Coach for the U9’s through to U16’s. Recently graduated with a Masters in Strength and Conditioning. I keep pushing him towards Derby and hopefully he’ll get there one day ?

Looks like they're helping the players with the transition by making him look like Luke Jenkinson.

Andrew3000 reacted to uttoxram75 in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
I think the world of Liam Rosenoir, he did nothing but good for Derby County FC. I wish him all the best at Hull City.
I think that Paul Warne is doing a great job at Derby.
It is possible to have both the above opinions.

He did with Rotherham. ?

Andrew3000 reacted to Srg in Tony Springett - signed from Norwich, loan to end of season
Thought he made a difference last night, even after giving away a proper baffling free kick where he did literally nothing but the ref saw something.

Played a key role in the winner by working hard to keep the ball in play when it would have been much easier to let in roll out. About 3 seconds later the ball was in their net.

Andrew3000 reacted to uttoxram75 in Pride Park Stadium
At last, I have some ITK information.
A mate of mine (none Derby fan) who is a Structural Design Engineer was at a meeting recently to discuss plans to turn PP green!
They are looking at solar panelling the roof and fitting wind turbine generators to future proof the stadium from energy costs.
Thats it! Thats all I know, its early days but the club is planning to do this and is looking for companies to provide detailed plans and costings to carry out the work.
David Clowes Black, White and Green army....
Seriously, the fact that Mr Clowes is looking at this is yet another pointer to his love for the club and wanting us to prosper in the future imo.

I don’t even know what this implies, but literally today… 2 days after my 60th birthday… I bought my first ever bobble hat! ?
Is it infatuation, or mere coincidence? ?♂️

Andrew3000 reacted to Ellafella in Derby County v Bolton: Player Ratings
1Wildsmith 6. Wasn’t called into action but for routine stuff. No blame goal.
12Smith 7 Stout in defence & lovely simple passes. Now integral part of team.
33Davies 6.5 Defensive marshalling & reading of the game.
3Forsyth 7 Perhaps could have ensured the ball hit row Z instead we concede. Bullet proof otherwise.
15Roberts 7.5 Slotted in like a finely machined component as if he’d never been away; close to headed goal 2nd half.
4Hourihane 8 That rifled goal.
8Bird ? 8 That arced pass to Barkhuizen
11Mendez-Laing 9 Beat his defenders with metronomic regularity. Lovely goal take. MotM for me.
18 Dobbin 6 Injection of pace when the game was won.
38Knight 8 Machine-like running with no off switch. And to think we played him at right full-back.
Thompson 6 Slotted in. Head up & confident.
7Barkhuizen 8.5 THAT cushioned header - a simple execution; the ball kissed his forehead. He simply directed it into Houri’s path ensuring it sat up and begged Hourihane to thwap it goalwards. That cushioned header was a piece of footballing beauty worthy of the highest plane.
Springett 6 Took to the field like an unleashed greyhound after a rabbit. Didn’t catch the rabbit ? on this occasion but rabbits in the Port Vale locale take note & be afraid.
10McGoldrick 7 Danced the ball with quick feet & moved their defence all around the dance floor to usual high effect.
Collins 6 Stretched his legs for 5 minutes.
The score line flatters Bolton really who despite good possession never looked a threat. Derby always looked the likeliest of lads. Respect to Bolton and their fans - 2 big clubs worthy of the top table.

Its amazing how after match we have the choice to talk about all the good stuff, or moan about the poor play, or who has let us down. Today we didn't have that choice. There is absolutely nothing to complain about from a derby point of view. And yes, like many I was worried by the team selection, enforced as it was, but it turned out to be "nay worries", as they say in Scotland.
Roberts is a good option to have at right back, and Curtis was safe enough, in part because of the lack of pace up front from Bolton. I know they have lost a couple of important players up front, but I don't think pace is their game. Their tactics were to lump it to the big man, or into the channels, and it didn't work. An important factor in this was our pressing, which I don't think I have seen as effectively employed before, especially as we kept it up all match. Thank you Jason knight for making it possible, and the new fitness regime!
A couple of times I had to wonder how Bolton managed to be in 5th place because they didn't really perform. The nearest to an attempt on goal in the first half was a cross that bobbled through to Wildsmith, and their only shots on target were at 56 minutes, 73 minutes and the goal, which should have been a goal kick. But they didn't perform because we didn't let them! And we have done that many times this season, particularly since Mr Warne took up residence.
NML had his defender on toast all match long, Max Bird has stepped up a gear, and our longing for him to toughen up was answered in only the 2nd minute when he bullied a Bolton player off the ball near the corner flag. And his pass to set up the second goal was an absolute peach. I've already mentioned Knighty, and it is good to see Hourihane, who was my least favourite putting himself about with a bit of passion - I don't know what happened, but he has been a different player since he came back from injury. I don't think there is player who can be singled out for playing badly - yet again. And it is getting to what it was like for Mac 1, and indeed the days of Brian Clough and then Dave Mackay, when we didn't wonder if we could win or draw, but how may we were gong to win by!
Today was a great football match, and I went absolutely bonkers berserk for both the goals - something I haven't done for years, because they were two tremendous goals. I was supposed to walk back to the car after the match, but got there without knowing how - almost as though I had floated all the way back! What a feeling!

Very well done today guys thoroughly deserved the win and really it was men against boys. Your physicality, nouse and experience completely undid us. To be fair we’ve been like this all season, pretty football but no cutting edge and we need a couple of old heads to lead the kids. Unfortunately Evatt is so far down his moneyball route trying to find young players to sell on he completely ignores the fact that you need some grey hairs in the team who’ve been there and done it, unlike your man who knows exactly how to do it and is doing a cracking job. There may have been a few questioning his appointment but I think he’s more than answering them now. I think you’ve every chance of making the top two now if you keep up performances like todays so best of luck for the rest of the season. ??

Andrew3000 reacted to Ambitious in Aden Flint gone to Sheff Wednesday, he was crap anyrode.
Aden Flint would be a good signing, but I'm not so sure we should so quick to write Curtis off - he's been injured and he hasn't quite had regular game time to get up to speed, but it's not to say that he couldn't. It wasn't that long ago that we were probably saying a very similar thing about Forsyth.
Stearman, ok, I understand that it would be difficult for us to bank on him every game, every week. Chester obviously has some issues that means we just can't count on him every week. Therefore, I would say Flint (if possible) would be a good pick up for the rest of this season. He's a threat at set-pieces and has thrived in this league, against League One type players for his career.
We can't be overly picky, but I feel Flint would be a decent signing for all League One clubs. It's not like he's been terrible for Stoke this season, either. He had a bad game against Watford and hasn't seen the pitch again. The game before that he was named MOTM in a 0-0 draw with QPR.
According to WhoScored, he's the second highest rated player for Stoke this season behind Ben Wilmot, so all things considered it doesn't sound like we're signing a dud - especially playing at the level we are at.
