    Called their bluff. Thanks Mel.

Arbitration is a waste of time, others have said it before, this has to go before a judge. Then hopefully people will start to deal with facts and not fantasy to determine an outcome which can finally end this never ending nightmare.
Gibson and Boro are entitled to nothing. Couhig being an American thinks litigation is the answer to everything, he falls into the ambulance chaser category. Wycombe are also entitled to nothing. Neither of them should be entertained or included in any discussions. It’s about time Gibson’s financial dealings are scrutinised, let’s see how clean he is!
The EFL are a weak, spineless organisation run by halfwits who I wouldn’t leave in charge of a kettle never mind oversee 72 football clubs. They are the babysitter you know you shouldn’t leave your kids with!
It has to go to the High Court for a full adjudication, and yes there are potential risks with this, but it can’t be any worse than seeing our football club evaporate in front of our eyes.
If we win, then we sue for damages against the EFL stopping us retaining our players and Gibson/Couhig for the same due to holding up the sale.
The torture has to stop one way or the other and as others have said if these ridiculous claims of compensation based on fantasy are upheld, the floodgates will open.  I believe the EFL are done for as a governing body either way.
The next worrying development I fear is Rooney chucks the towel in. How many more lies, half-truths will he stand for before he’s had enough?
Regardless….. We fight to the end!
Keep the faith my fellow Black and White warriors! I can’t support another club if we vanish, I’d be done with football.

its nearly 3 o clock in the morning and the same things keep going round and round in my head....how on earth is this going to be sorted??? After the EFL statement last night I really think we are now basically being backed into a corner to try and negotiate a deal against two parasite chairman and only 7m is the supposed figure that will make them happy!!?
Where on earth has any compensation   figures been calculated from ? Its a farce why not make it 100 million ? 200 million?
These claims must not be entertained or even considered and why?? For the sake of the very game we fans love...Football....
The EFL should be protecting the game and its clubs but it is corrupt as hell and has zero interest in looking after the game itself....If those claims from parasite clubs is given any creedance Football is ducked!
Every club could sue another club for any misdemeanors or so called breaking of the rules and this cannot happen
On one hand the EFL are saying that the actual Insolvency law is not relevant as they have there own rules signed by 72 football clubs and saying we are hiding behind insolvency yet cannot quash or tell the parasites that we have been punished with a 21 point deduction
Gibson and Boro are the poison here make no mistake he threatened to sue the EFL then was apeased by the EFL saying they would go after us!!!! and he's right behind them pulling the strings no doubt!!
We are in admin FFS and the admin team are here to do there job and try and sort creditors but yet the EFL are saying we should meet and negotiate and deal with two other clubs!! Its none of there business who we owe money too yet Gibson seems to know all about our business who we owe how much etc etc .....I would tell the EFL that parasites like Gibson and WW bloke are not welcome at Derby County FC ...No negotiations and if we ever ( and its looking less and less likely ) get out of this mess both Chairman are banned from PP
We are a founder member Football club who have contributed a lot to the history of our game so stop treating us like poo on your shoe....30,000 fans on sunday and we are bottom....both tinpot parasite clubs on a good day wouldn't get that many fans with both attendances added together
I cannot see a way out but the hatred i feel for parasites like Gibson I've never felt for anyone to be honest.....a horrible little man who thinks sueing everyone is the way...this is what he also done to a team playing in the local church league because he said they had copied the boro team badge...bloke is total and utter disgrace and if all chairman were like him the game would soon cease to exist because so many would go out of business.....
GROW SOME BALLS EFL AND TELL BORO AND WW TO DROP THE CLAIMS OR THEY WILL HAVE POINTS DEDUCTED THEMSELVES!???? SAFEGUARD THE GAME ITSELF AND HELP CLUBS RATHER THAN HELP OTHERS WHO ARE DESTROYING OUR GAME!

Funny how their statement doesn't mention Boro trying to sue EFL first. then coming to a cosy deal with EFL to sue Derby instead.

Before I sign off the night and listen to the missus woes from work, just going to say this, don’t be angry at the EFL’s statement tonight, it’s a positive one for us and it clearly states their position which allows us to move forward with a high court judgment.
Whilst we might disagree on the side they fell into, it wasn’t totally unexpected and we’ve been desperate for them to come down off the fence for a while now, this is better than to continue stalling.
Quantuma have what they need now, the EFL’s position and proof of funds to see us through the next couple of months, time for court.

They do know what they’re doing - they are being forced by Gibson otherwise he’ll sue them and reveal to the public their dirty washing.

The good news with Wycombe is, given the masterful grasp of dates and times that Couhig has shown in his interviews and press statements, the odds of him actually turning up to any meetings on the right day are basically zero.

The 2 chancers are beneath contempt, the only reason they can even think of progressing these claims is because Morris dumped us into Administration.
That's Morris, a bloke worth hundreds of millions, a man who bought Derby as a personal vanity project then when he got bored threw it away, forcing ordinary people to lose their jobs, ordinary fans to stress and worry about the club they love, and Morris cared not one jot about.
So no, I don't think he cares in the slightest, what he has done to our club and the community proves that beyond doubt.

2-4 days was the quote from Hoskins on Saturday wasn’t it? I’m sure he said they were looking to kick off the arbitration procedure in that timeframe. So can we get an update please? Have they been started or not? If not, why not, and what’s the new plan/timeframe?

Anyone who thinks that the Parasite claims are not the MAIN obstacle are naive in the extreme. Of course there are other complexities but nothin compares to this as the potential jeopardy is so large. The EFL and the parasites are completely disingenuous about the issue and they know it.

Beginning to think that our best chance will be towards the end of the season. If Middle Borough look like sneaking into the POs, tell them to drop the claims or we liquidate, throwing the league into chaos and any points they got from us would be lost. If that’s the difference between MFC making the playoffs or not they’d soon drop the fairytale claim.

This is all starting to mess with my head a bit now. I just don't get the feeling that this is going to end well and we will just be joining the Bury fans in a chorus of 'This must never happen again'. Unfortunately though it will happen again and it will continue to happen because the structure and finances of football is fecked. Owners will continue to be irresponsible because of the insane imbalance in money between the Premier League and EFL and owners will continue to chance their arm to get a slice of that and be able to walk into the sunset after it has all turned to ratsh*t.
There's a report coming addressing governance... great, when ? Will it make some recommendations or will it actually do something ? The EFL is an incestuous opaque organisation ruled by self interested parties and applying rules that it seems to make up as it goes along. Utterly unfit for purpose and tacitly encourages relationships between clubs that are modelled on Lord of the Flies.
We've said all this before though. We've marched, we've protested, we've raised the public profile of our plight, we've contacted MPs and media outlets and we've taken to social media and we've backed the lads superbly and fans of other clubs who get what it is like to be in our situation have given us welcome support. There's been lots of supportive noises from a lot of quarters but all the people that can actually influence this are seemingly happy to watch us career off a cliff. How is this going to end up with anything other than liquidation ? If that is inevitable then I'd rather just get on with it. This death by a thousand cuts is unbearable. I'm sick of being dictated to by the EFL, I'm sick of seeing our players leave and be unable to sign anyone, I'm sick of having the smirking Broro and Wycombe chairman watching over our death throws and I'm sick of the uncertainty and stress.
There is talk and more talk and heartfelt words but who is going to actually going to fix this ?! Meanwhile our beloved club bleeds to death.

Bang on. And the other parties, some of the buyers and Gibson are trying to force him to put his hand in his pocket again and lose more money which at the moment he doesn’t seem prepared to do.
If he did what Fawaz did and paid his debts we wouldnt have a problem, but has he done that the club would’ve easily sold we wouldn’t be in administration with a 12 point deduction and we wouldn’t be selling off the future of our club to survive.

It's hard to keep up with all the goings on, but as far as I can tell:
Administrators are going to court to have a ruling on the Boro and Wycombe claims, to show they cannot be football debt. Administrators have had overwhelming legal advice that the claims are entirely without merit. The claims are what are preventing us naming a preferred bidder and exiting administration. The Administrators don't want to upset the EFL and Boro and Wycombe so are trying to reach a compromise agreement to be able to move forward. If I'm right, points 1-3 I can understand. However, point 4 is morally wrong. Instead, surely the Administrators should counter sue Boro and Wycombe for bringing baseless claims to prevent us exiting administration. That's got to be worth millions. This is no time to pussyfoot around. Once it becomes apparent to the EFL that every club can start suing every other club for everything, they will have to step in and shut it down. In the meanwhile, if Gibson is threatened with a £50m lawsuit because of his vindictive claim, perhaps he will cease and desist? Nothing else seems to be making him, so I say fight fire with fire.

Whatever the outcome of this saga; whether we survive or otherwise; the EFL has to be taken down. They’ve proven themselves repeatedly to be incapable of effectively and fairly governing the football league. They are incompetent and self-serving. The government must finish them if there is to be any future for professional football outside of the Premier League….

For god's sake Mel, stop pissing about and put the ownership of the stadium in a perpetual trust, administered by elected local people exclusively for the benefit of the club, city, county and country it stands in.
You took over ownership of this club on an investment equals equity basis, the Americans took a haircut to allow you to play with a grown ups trainset, now step aside and let us survive ffs.
The last owners went without seeing a penny profit, indeed massively down on their investment, now step up and do the same, even if we have to service a £15m mortgage on the ground, which you inherited, please please please leave this club in no worse state than you found it, that is surely the minimum you should do for this club!
