  1. Warne basically said Sibley and Cashin won’t be risked and if mendiz Lang has had stitches in his foot due to all that bleeding on Saturday then Dobbin will start - I expect collins to start

                          Wildsmith

    smith.   Davies.    Forsyth.   Roberts

                      Bird.     Hourihane
      Dobbin.          Knight.        Barkhauzen
                            Collins

will they have a nearly frozen pitch - probably

It certainly isn't rubbish. We will make a loss this season, unless we sell player(s) for multi-millions.

I went in to quite a bit of detail on previous threads showing why this will be the case.

We need to sell Belick but that’s getting harder by the week - playing for Birmingham is no selling point unless your 16 and not been broken a couple of times

  3. We had Osula who could run quick, unfortunately it wasn’t with a football he was also very tall but couldn’t jump with both feet off the ground to head a ball and didn’t seem able to control the football and pass it to teammates ( hopefully the lad will learn all these aspects) whilst signing Martin is a remote possibility he wouldn’t let us down in the third division!

Because he’s the antithesis of a Paul Warne player and is a brilliant symbol for not only the exact reason why we’ve been so good the last few months, but also for an era we should be desperately trying to forget.

If we needed a centre forward for three months and cost us little and he would be playing in a lower level league so to me it would be silly not to consider him

Personal opinions aside, you cannot have listened to Paul Warne in what he wants from his players. Signing Martin would go against every word.

Yep I listened to everything he says but my reference was to him being available, probably moving to league one and potentially all we can get and in the third division he may well prove to be very useful if we were short handed up front

Agree, PW has said he likes a smaller squad, although I think a defender who can play both Right Back and Centre Half (potentially loan to buy) would be the limit, but only if one falls in our lap, especially as January prices will be too rich for our current blood.

I can’t see us getting one if we have Rooney who is a darn good player

  7. Whilst we need another centre forward for emergencies that man Chris Martin is apparently being the subject of a lot of enquiries from league one clubs - if we can’t get anyone else he wouldn’t be a bad one to have in the run in if we lose McGoldrick and Collins - the chances are we are going to see him again even if it’s in a opposition squad

Davies was exposed during the first half yesterday and prefer to see Rooney in .

Davies and Forsyth easily dealt with the Bolton forward line yesterday - Davies just needed to clatter one of them and he was fine

I don’t know what sort of wages they pay compared to us, but we are capped. And we, obviously, can’t give any transfer fees. Just smacks of sour grapes.

They probably need educating that we can’t pay any transfer fees, we can’t pay any loan fees, we can’t pay any agents fees and our wages are capped - if they knew that they might have a slightly altered viewpoint

Davies will almost certainly retire at the end of this season. I can’t see him going anywhere for a 6 month deal. Even if he’s a squad player, I can’t see him wanting to leave when we have a chance of promotion.

I don’t think he is ready to retire yet and he is more than good enough to carry on next season. Aside from that I think he would want to help us return to the championship first and foremost.

  11. It’s incredibly difficult for Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday not to win games because there are some poor teams in this league if we are honest and even Ipswich have their next set of games against basically the bottom 6 teams. It’s nice to have a chance of catching some teams though

  12. Enjoyed yesterday

    wildsmith - nothing to do

    smith - very reliable

Davies - slow start but normal service resumed

Forsyth - just reads the game so we’ll

Roberts - did well on his return

    bird - just fine

hourihane - much better player with knight in there

    Knight - wonderful player

    mendiz Lang - real handful

    Barkhauzen - good team player

mcgoldrick - they let him control the the game

major difference nowadays - we have goal threats all along the front line and they are scoring with back up from central midfield - opposing players don’t know or can’t pick them all up - stand out to Knight - wonderful player and simply makes space and time for others to shine

Bolton - very much looked like they were trying to just lump it long and pick up some bits but having Davies and Forsyth meant that they didn’t get close to winning a long ball

Hi guys another Wanderer here and equally perplexed why most posts are about the crowd not the game? Brilliant support you’ve had this season after all that’s gone on so well done on that. Should be a cracking game with both sides going for a win and both in good form. Obviously we’re suffering from a few injuries and departures, especially Afolyan going and Bod out for the season but we should still have more than enough to compete. It goes without saying that this game should be in a higher division than this so let’s hope we can both get there soon. A draw wouldn’t be bad for either but I think we need the win more than you do. Whatever happens I think we’ll both make the top six so we may have to meet again this season yet? Let’s just hope it’s a good game and not spoiled by poor refereeing.

Let me help you understand - the crowd is the most important thing especially after the seasons we have had to endure, just being able watch our team is the most relevant thing. Matches come and go football clubs never should.

the referee has done us many times - he’s a bad one who tends to perform to a crowd in a look at me approach - it would be nice for him to go unnoticed but he won’t.
